I wish they had been a bit more subtle so that it would have been a true old school bombshell (I still have not reconciled myself with the good ole days of soaps being gone). I will say, however, that I was pleasantly surprised with Sami's final scene. She could have played that like a child, Sweeney's usual go to method, but the calm hurt and rage was really good. Members KMan101 Posted June 20, 2014 Members Share Posted June 20, 2014 Yeah, in her TV Guide interview I think she was already mentioning the 50th. She'll be there, no doubt. And there was mentions of holidays and weddings/funerals, etc. So I'm sure when she can "spare a moment" we'll still see her pop in, if they follow through and actually do bring her back at times when Sami might be needed. She left because she knows she has a guaranteed paycheck/home as long as DAYS is around. That being said, I'll actually miss Sami. I'm glad they brought her back to more of who she should be, rather than the overwrought housewife and mother heroine they tried to shove at us. However, I don't see Days being a show for me even w/out her and that Geico lizzard! The characters just seem like zombies. The actors are trying (Ari, Deidre, KA), but I'm just not feeling a thing. Its like watching a train wreck waiting to happen and while I dont really like EM, he is surprisingly coming alive here.
