That's the smartest move they've made in a while. Although I don't see why they had to make her that dumb Mariah character - every young plotline on the show sucks.

Good. The young generation needs her. She also needs better onscreen partners that MO or RW. They need to get rid of Tyler and cast Nate Jr for her and Abby to fight over.

She's a good actress but her storyline sucks.

Agreed. And the story becomes more convoluted by the day.

She's a necessary addition but if Y&R wants to build up it's twenty somethings and youngins' they've got a long way to go.

for some reason I thought this was going to be Lauralee Bell since they seem to want to now give Cricket a pregnancy story.....

but i'm glad for Camryn!

Best Y&R casting news this year. It is well-deserved. CG has grown into a fine talent. Honestly, being free of "Cassie"and all the goodness surrounding her and the awkward teen years will be a blessing. Yes, the current story is a bit convoluted, but she has already proven that she can act with the big boys. She has earned her place on Y&R and I'm certain that the writers will work around her talent for storylines. (And, I really believe that.)

Not to go off topic, but is Jess Walton back on contract too? She's in the opening again.
