GH: Casting Michelle Stafford

  • Member

So, it is finally official. MS will be on GH. I feel bad for Maura West. LOL

DC: We know Nina shares a past with Silas, but what other men might catch her eye? Ned Ashton (Wally Kurth) hasn't been laid since Bush was in the White Houseicon1.png, and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) has been made a cuckold!

RC: I could definitely see Nina turning either one of their heads, but why stop there? There are plenty of eligible—and not so eligible—men wandering around Port Charles. After walking in on Ava and Sonny post-cryptsex, it seems like Morgan (Bryan Craig) might be back on the market...

OH, MS will just love being paired with a young hottie like that. LOL

You mean Lilly Melgar and Martha Madison

Yes! I still can't believe how youthful Lilly looks after all these years. She's gorgeous!

SJB was already gone and Tamara was leaving. Remember, they had tried to get Sarah back before even approaching LW (it was Sarah who recommended LW when she quit but LW was still very much tied to GL). Hell, they went behind TB's back during negotiations and tried to get SJB back. But yes, LW's initial contract did have an out for GH but enough to entice her to come aboard. Hell, how else do you get this woman to move her family to CA for a role that 2 other actresses previously had and were very successful?

That is pretty baller that LW had that insane clause in her contract - I mean, that's up there with Jay Leno's "pay-and-play contract" from 2010 which cost Conan O'Brien his job. But Wright could demand that at that time. She was very popular from GL, and the Carly situation had GH over a barrel.

I can see RC creating his own Carly in Nina. I sure can. But never underestimate the powers of MS. She is tactician. I give it a year before she is eating that show alive.

What have we heard about Nina that would indicate she is/was at all like Carly. She's been billed as a heroine type. I guess if her sole purpose is to create angst/interest for the dullest of the dull she will at least have some spunk. Maybe a heartbeat.

um... she's been in a coma. That basically gives MS free rein to build the character as she goes/sees fit. I'm certain they will use Nina to make Ava (more) sympathetic... in their first meeting MS will prob. 'reveal' the supreme bitch side to Ava that no one else knows or has seen - but Ava.

this Silas thing? It will never happen, because MS likely isn't interested (at all) in working with Michael Easton. LOL

True. She could "wake up" as a whole new person I guess. And I certainly don't see MS playing some weak weeping Samsel. I hope not. GH already has a couple and they're boring me.

I think the offscreen Nina that "was depressed, loved to ride horses and play in the park" will last about five minutes until she discovers she has traveled through time like many an Aryan cyborg before her.

From then on we will get the Full, Uncut Staff, and after about three days a week of that, woe be unto us all.

I love "those" characters. And GH needs them. All their spitfires are now mealy mouthed whiners.

pretty much this. Every female on GH 'bows' to some male. There are literally no 'bad bitches' anymore. I think MS will change that, and GH needs that - desperately.

I think Ron Carlivati is incapable of writing a "spitfire" character that doesn't come out like Kiki.

yeah, but MS brings so much more to the material that it's inevitable, imo. Her questionable character BTS aside, she is the definition of making lemonade out of lemons.

To drink the lemonade, however, you need a little sugar, and MS provides none of that.

If only she were flashing back to the moment Silas attempted to murder her.
