Don't forget this person would have last taped in Dec/January (and it doesn't mean their contract ended either, of course) ... or does it mean they are last TAPING in May? (Camilla Banus last taped in January and last airs in May but she's not the clue)

JT would make me ecstatic. Do we know if KA & AZ signed new deals? And all kidding aside about the production schedule, but does anyone feel that the big new of ED's return has been really anticlimatic due to the huge gap between the announcement and the on-screen date? I mean, for goodness sake, her brief appearances on Y&R in the interim have gotten more press.

Well, I don't think it would be Deidre Hall because they will likely keep her around until Sami leaves.

My prediction is that if a big name leaves it will be Walker. The character of Nicole is played out a bit and could use a break. And with the additions of Eileen and the new Eve..two big name stars who command more salary, it would make sense that they pair down the cast by eliminating someone who is paid well.

Pretty sure everyone has been known to be taping though, except for Peggy McCay, Justin Gaston & True O'Brien. Thanks to Twitter, I guess. So either the actor exits in May and last airs in 2023 or they last taped in January and last airs in May.

I know this has nothing to do with this thread, sort of, but does anyone know if Kassie is going to be contract or recurring? I feel like Eve's going to be nothing but a Dannifer foil. And I don't know that I could see Charlotte Ross (who would have been playing Eve in their minds at the time) on contract so I wonder if it's a short-term visit (be it six months or nine months or a year) for Eve, like Kristen's.

I suspect we would have had a few withdrawals next year if Israel had won. I don't think many people would relish going to Jerusalem as things stand now. Not to mention it would have been a prime target for terrorist attacks.
    • And they've given us plenty. Sets, outdoor scenes, music licensing, etc. And that was the point of me using DAYS... so. It's obvious the casino set is not intended for long-term use, hence why it's likely it wasn't as evolved as the other community sets, etc.

    • I just had thought of how to save the Perkins family. (Inspired by Rituals) -- What if Marisa Perkins was Augusta Lockridge's sister? Fictionally, they could've both been local girls, one married rich and one married poor. Originally, I was going to suggest that Marisa be Sophia's sister, but then I realized Joe and Kelly would've been first cousins.  Of course, it would've truly inspired Sophia was if Rosa Andrade sister, with Rosa and Santana moving in to help CC raise the kids once Sophia disappeared.  While this could've avoided both gross CC and Santana affairs, the times were not right for a story about intersectional inequity.
    • https://www.instagram.com/p/DJxW5DLJLId/ Another World is my forever favorite soap opera. But it's finale is almost universally hated by its fans. What this is, is an edit where I've deleted everything I didn't like!!!
    • The Perkins family had potential to be a nice alternative to the more dysfunctional Capwells and wackier Lockridges... but I think a few factors did in the family. 1) Recasting of Joe Perkins 2) Bad casting of the Perkins Patriarch, and the one note writing for that character. 3) Lack of antagonistic interaction between the Capwells/Lockridges and Perkins.  (There was no awkwardness between Jade/Ted.. or CC disapproving of his son being friends with that Perkins girl, etc). 4) Wasting of Jade thus wasting the potential of the actress (which was realized on Days of Our Lives).  She had more potential than Laken oddly enough. The only member of the Perkins family that had appeal and a somewhat thought out story arc was Amy.
    • @GymnastGuyThanks for posting the three new Capitol 1985 episodes today. The two labeled March 12, and 13 are misidentified. The March 12 labeled one actually aired November 12 1985 which I figured out because Kenny Rogers' movie Wild Horses aired November 12th and it was announced over the "March 12" Cap credits. In addition, Craig Carlson is listed in the April credits but not the March. Craig left Capitol sometime after July 1985 before he rejoined OLTL in the credits by October 15, 1985; he was replaced on Cap by Radcliffe and Hamner. In these posted episodes Radcliffe/Hamner names appear in the March 85 episodes but not in the April.
