Cynthia Watros was the FOJ (and happened to be a popular soap star who made it in primetime in the bargain). Cady just got the call for the quick recast.

I just think its a bit much of a stretch to assume that because she is not a FOJ that Jill didn't hire her.

I am going to miss CW's take on Kelly. CMC is all "Playing the bitch! Woohoo!" which is ironic as I found CW played it a little more multi-layered than that.

I'm tired of this theme: "how she feels about replacing the talented Watros." C'mon Cady is not only an experienced actor in the genre, but has also won Emmy gold (and deservedly so). I've always like CW, but she isn't the world's greatest actress, not the best in the soap world nor the best on Y&R. It's just a bit insulting. Cady will be just fine and it will be interesting to see how she works with scene-chewer PB - Cady seems good at handing those types of actors.

I thought Cynthia brought a lot to a role that initially didn't have anything to offer. I think Cady will be fine, I hope she'll be as nuanced as Cynthia. I HATED her as Rosanna, but I fell in love with her on the AMC reboot.
