What we know so far is that lucas was indeed happy and thrilled to meet someone with a background similar to his and that while he might come across as pushy he is in a very conflicting situation so he would likely turn to someone he feels can understand him. We may not agree with the way he goes about it but before Lucas come across as a creepy stalker he will have to blackmail brad on a date and spy on him in the co-ed shower of doom. Once the part of the story about coming face to face with his long lost mobster father fade out and lucas still acts the way he is now we can agree but so far i find his actions understandable even if they dont paint him in the most positive light.
