I think that was also a part of the goal...with the other part of him being the hero that saved Cane and Lily. Cane even said at the end, "You saved me." That's probably going to play a part in his "redemption." Of course the audience know he isn't really redeemed.

It sickened me as well.

JFP is a big on her clichés. How many villains have we seen been accepted after saving someone's life. I guess it could have been worse. They could have written it as if he had nothing to do with it and he still saved their lives..but at least we know he is still bad and they are not trying to whitewash him. I still dont' find his character the least bit intriguing though...never have.

I didn't mean it was misogynistic in that Steve is allowed to get away with it and the women are not. If the woman who plays Avery doesn't want to be nude, I am fine with her decision as well. I don't object to Steven saying he doesn't want to do shirtless scenes. (I kind of wish more of the men would -- because I really have no desire to see them shirtless). I think the actors' personal preferences should be respected but you have to write around that. I'm saying the scene itself, with the dialogue included, seemed very misogynistic, not only because Avery was nude and Dylan was not (that just looked weird), but because the dialogue implied she was fetching food for him and waiting on him in the nude, while he was clothed.

Of course she's not trying to make us like him...I even said at least they are not whitewashing him. I just find the whole storyline ridiculous that's all. I'm still not over the fact that he used some "judicial loophole" to get back in the country and the fact that Jill didn't drop him like a hot potato the minute she returned to town....oh wait she has to find out the secret about this music box so she has to stay married to him (rolls eyes)

LOL!

IMO, "Out of the Ashes" sealed LML's fate more on the show than the WGA strike did. CBS and SONY might have released her from her duties b/c she wouldn't cross the picket line, but I feel as if that story in particular only made their decision that much easier, if you know what I mean.

I've gone to some SBu PA's and he' very conscious of if he's toned in love scenes he says he doesn't like shirtless scenes when he's not in shape its a bad look "for an old guy"...that may have something to do with it as well. He didn't do many on GH it was rumored his wife prohibited it but he laughed, said it was because he was too flabby or something to that effect.
