So, there was quite a bit of talk about Faith Rosco in one of the other threads and since I am a huge Cynthia Preston fan, I decided to see if she had a twitter. She does, but doesn't have many followers or use it often but one of the conversations she was having on there was about how she would love to return to GH one day. I wonder if Ron will see and make it happen. There's a return I'd be down for.

Wow is Julian that dumb to show up to the pier alone? Did he think that Duke could and was going to take on Carlos alone?

Brad's biological father is really a gangster? Okay. Are we hearing this for the first time bc it seemed so out of left field that he's all of a sudden lamenting over this. How contrived that he and Lucas have the same backstory

I cant stand Felix so I loved the shade that Silas was throwing him

Wow, so this big mob war they kept hyping amounted to someone getting jumped. We used to do that in middle school

Why is no one suggesting that maybe Silas' twin Stephen ordered the prescription?

Check out Lucy Hoe cheating again

Were Mac and Scott involved in each other's stories in the early 90s? Both dated Dominique and Katherine. Did they fight over them at all?

Julian's lunch money fund is gonna be hurtin'. Why is the big boss doing all the heavy lifting physically like this? This is how Ron and Frank do mob stories - three or four guys and a shoestring.

I don't mind Brad having a connection to the Asian Quarter because that is GH history. I just don't care about Brad, really. Poor Parry Shen.

I loved Lucas's dirty talk to Brad. Between the "last night you kept telling me go faster and faster" and the ass comment he made. Definitely not the squeaky clean gays that DAYS has. Next time though Lucas, shower and change your clothes before you go stalking your ONS at work for round two.

Brad's back story was a pleasant surprise, tying him to the Asian Quarter from the 80s (before my time) . One thing you can't accuse Ron of is not trying to use history. Though Ron could have been more creative about it though. Having Brad and Lucas both be gay adopted son's of mobsters seems a bit lazy.

    • I remember the articles and fan letters complaining about Alfonso so I wouldn't be surprised if Alfonso didn't want to talk about her time on the show. She was probably used to being the fan favorite. She got a lot of flack for being the "Ana Alicia replacement" and that hurt her from the beginning.  It's odd that CBS would think that hiring Alfonso would lure Days viewers to the show, but they kept doing that to their daytime soaps (as did NBC with ABC actors) and it rarely worked.

Kristian Alfonso was a popular daytime star from a show popular with a younger audience that was brought on to an aging primetime soap with the expectation that their huge daytime following would carry over. I don't think she has spoken much about her time on Falcon Crest despite being the show's new pet that became front-burner lead right away. I also don't believe she was hired on the cheap given her daytime popularity and following.  Notice how most of the former daytime actors and actresses that were on the CBS primetime soaps were from ABC or NBC. CBS had so much of their own daytime talent they could have used on their primetime soaps but for whatever reason that didn't happen and I think demographics played a part in that (CBS daytime skewing older than ABC/NBC).
    • Has anyone read Sharon Gabet's memoir? Is it worth reading?
    • Would that ad even appeal to people who watched Falcon Crest at any point? By that point, did anyone really care about the show? I remember people loathing the last season and especially hating Alfonso's character.
    • Thanks @kalbir

    • True enough, and Tony and Annabelle suffer the same problem. And the people Quint and Nola had interacted with were gone--Kelly, Morgan, Helena, Mrs Renfield---even Van's been transplanted to the Lewis enclave. Nola's curiosity could've been used somehow, but after Reva's arrival it seems like Long is obsessed with selling that woman to the audience.  As originally written--no, the Chamberlains weren't stockholders anymore. At least not to my understanding. But any story where Quint and Vanessa teamed up, realizing that Alex had played them, and found some loophole to get back in to restore Henry's legacy would've been welcome. As much as I like India--Spaulding gets weird in '85 with Alex, Phillip, India and Warren fighting amongst themselves.
