Mason is hilarious. I hope they don't have him attack Hilary if/when Devon cuts their friendship off. I want to keep him around to cause more trouble for someone else...some other family besides the Winters. I can see Summer or Abby wanting to be with him and all the drama that will ensue. The guy could really be useful.

I hope thy don't waste another great character on Victoria. Let her be single for the next 2/3 years at least...let her focus on business and nothing more.

Wed December 11

The interaction Hillary had with Sharon and then Jack was flawless. Instead of throwing her into some major, useless story, they are giving her scenes with various people, she's building connections and dynamics and they get to see what works or not. Didn't realize this show could still do that! Bergman has been doing terrific work, too.

Also liked Nikki in her scene with Dylan, which would be hard not to, since MTS elevates anyone she's with. But as soon as she was gone and it was Dylan and Avery by themselves, zzzzzzzzz! I am so upset with Avery, that meddling bitch, for digging up stuff on Ian Ward, although it is the perfectly soapy and acceptable thing to do.

Loved the stuff with Neil and Jack, as well. How amazing when Jack pretended the ring was for him--for once, the writing did what I expected, and Jack was written IN character. Neil was very sweet as he practiced his proposal.

I do not like Victor hating on Sharon. It's never sat well with me. My hear flutters when Nick and Sharon are together. But what was that ridiculous music as Sharon was telling Nick not to feel bad/guilty? Just cringe worthy. They dropped the classic cues for this sh.t?

God, Amelia Heinle stuck out soooo badly in the Victor/Nikki/Victoria/Nick scene. Damn. Victor being so judgmental and pompous. I am shocked Victoria had the last word on that scene and walked out; I expected Victor to throw out a word but he remained silent. :o Guess JFP is cracking that whip

Agree with everything you've said but re: Hillary, GOD NO at Jill mothering her. That is SO out of character for Jill. Motherly instinct didn't come easy to her. She could barely be a mother to her own kids lmao. She always had to work on it. And now to do it with a stranger, who reminds her of her own scheming, younger self. Nooooope! Remember Leanna, Drucilla, Nina, Mac? Jill hated all of them and this should be the same here. I fear it would be deathly boring if they tried to be all yucky mushy like Jill & Katherine were for so long. Jill needs a threatening younger woman to spar with. She doesn't let go of that easily.

But Sharon could be a great friend/advisor to her and I am IN for Jack being super protective and a paternal figure.

Never said he wasn't a likable guy. Hence the use of the word 'affable'. Just talking about the acting ability was all.

Personally, I think he's safe on the show for the foreseeable future. His ties to one of the current matriarchs and patriarch of the show pretty much solidifies this and I don't see him pulling any silly maneuvers like some of his former colleagues have done as of late.

Love Hilary and Jack and she makes Devon watchable for me. Lane is nauseating. Chloe and Chelsea talk about Adam Zzzz. I think Adam had more chemistry with Chloe in those scenes. This Dead Delia story is really tiresome and I still ain't feeling Kelly.

I also sat up in the Adam and Chloe scenes. Great chemistry. I don't care what anyone says, MM intentionally tanks Chadam. Sad part is that TPTB nor viewers care that the scenes have no energy. They still wanted the couple.

I have seen many people say thing that about Hilary making Devon watchable. Sad part is any woman could have done this over the last 10 years if the writers had tried to give him a real romance. Oh well, I will take it now. Love them!

Steal her away from Y&R and make her "Sharon".
    • -- I continue to enjoy DAYS post-Carlivati. These women have done a great job in refocusing the show. -- It sounds nuts not to agree with "rapists and murderers shouldn't be romantic leads." But then you get characters like Xander and EJ, and you have to put an asterisk after that quote. I enjoy both characters far too much to want them off the show or thrown in jail. They're romantic leads, but you can't tell me they haven't faced consequences. -- I think the Xander beatdown of Phillip was well-directed -- and in character. Some people here believe Xander went too far. Well, that's who Xander is, and we've seen that many times over these past years. He thought he had family, and then realized it was all a lie, so he resorted back to his animal roots. -- The Stephanie Racy Book storyline is soooooo bad. I had to laugh that she couldn't find her manuscript in that 2x4 apartment.
    • Both Philip and Xander should be in jail, period.
    • 5-14   AMMMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYY!!! Thank the Lord! lol. But at least I now have something of interest to watch. So good to see Audra and Amy reunited. hehe. I also liked the continued bonding between Damian and Nate. Side-note...those pants on SD and all of that cake is PERFECTION. Mmmm.   I also enjoyed the continued dragging of Billy. First by the son. And then by the father. lol. Billy standing there and being so insufferable and wonder why people are giving him the business. He can stay at that bar and STFU. Double for Chelesa.    And ugh at Giggly Heffa wasting Victor's (and the audience's) time with her inability to spit it out. At least she made up for it by calling Dumas directly. I was just talking about how I love near-miss in the BTG thread, but the difference here is that the Dumas part of the Damian storyline has gone on too long. So her near-miss was annoying.
    • Agreeing with your agreeing, and I bet that any urge toward violence against Sarah is what will cause Xander to try to redeem himself. Even though, as you mentioned the other day, I have enjoyed the buildup.  It seems like everyone easily forgave Philip for stealing from Xander.  And their defense was that Victor wanted his two sons to work together.  Until, finally, Xander exploded and realized that Victor wanted what he wrote in his will, days before his death.  If Philip had led an actual legal battle for the estate, then Xander might have capitulated.  But, Philip made him look like a fool.  Because Philip was too smug to simply ask Xander for what he thought he deserved.  I was shocked/enthralled by how raw they allowed Xander to express his rage.  I don't think that would have been allowed before streaming, yet they show people with guns weekly on GH.  I also want to point out that there is still the inorganic nature that neither person in a fight can swear, that I always find distracting. noted for the contrarians, that is not a defense for violence  -- I assume we are all of sound mind, and know right from wrong. - I also know it airs on network TV in other countries, so they still abide by network daytime standards. - blah blah blah
    • I imagine Philip will refuse to identify Xander because he knows he orchestrated this mess and tanked his brother's marriage. Eventually I hope to see Philip and Xander reconciling their awful crimes against each other and restoring that brother bond.  And Xander needs therapy. He was twisted into what he is by Victor's cruelty and has zero anger management skills. Having said that I think this was more a gross writing choice than anything else. One punch would have sufficed for sure but they wanted to show us Sarah was "right". Never mind that she created this situation by helping Xander love his brother so the betrayal was far worse. If he'd heard the truth immediately he would have had Philip arrested and fired him. But Sarah wanted Philip to be her mole to control her husband at work. Who never needed it as he's run Titan just fine on his own before.
    • Oh that's right. Thanks. Thanks @dc11786 I guess Conroy did last for a bit. Never knew why AW didn't see his potential either.
    • May 19, 2025 Fairman interviews Lynn Herring about the Nurses Ball. Excellent interview and no GH spoilers. CAUTION There is a minor DAYS spoiler from 12:15 to 14:15, so if you are Days spoiler-free, then skip those two minutes.
