Tuesday:

*Takes deeeeep breath*

OK, WTF. Can someone explain to me why Lucy is hanging out at an empty security parking lot, conveniently there to run into Franco? Can someone explain why no one seems surprised that Franco is working at Metro Court but is not wearing a uniform? Can someone explain why nobody finds it weird that Franco is pushing a laundry cart out into a parking lot and not, well I don't know, the laundry room? Can someone explain why Heather's hand was pushed down in the previous episode and then was up on the side of the cart again? How many times will they play the same beat? This is not PASSIONS! Or is it?

There was one funny moment, when Lucy banged on the cart and Franco jumped. And I did laugh when Franco fell into the hole that Carlos dug and thanked God. But just how bad can it all be? Franco, who is supposedly some Serial Killer Guru, is leaving his fingerprints all over the cloth Heather is wrapped in, the shovel as well as the murder weapon which he throws into the grave. Has he never watched TV? You're supposed to dispose it in a different location! Damn! And all that crap about how Heather "made him" kill her. I'm sorry, what I saw was Franco having overpowered Heather both in physical strength and by holding a knife against her... did she, like, fall into his knife? Did she grab his hand and pull the knife towards her? Nope! And I can already picture Franco telling Carly, "I did it for yooooouuuuuuuuu!" in a romantic, please understand sort of way. Gah! At least they didn't try to make us think Heather would really be dead.

What can I even say about those stupid, stupid, stupid TV announcements? Could they be any faker? It was nice of the TV to announce to everyone that the verdict was about to come out. And I gagged at the scene were the jury person was being interviewed.

What bullshit that AJ was found not guilty! Nothing on screen supports that. If I'm ever on trial, I will fire my lawyer, represent myself, admit that I could quite possibly have done the crime but don't remember it and all should be fine! I did enjoy Tracy's shock, though.

Carly was such a nasty horse to Sam. It really was not necessary. But I just have to LOL at how long it took Sam to notice what Carly was wearing, the easel and the whole dinner setting. Bitch, are you blind?

LMAO at Luke the Curious Cracker Eater. I mean, talk about being desperate to get him a story.

Le sigh at Carlos/Sonny/Sean. There are no words to describe how bad those scenes were. You gotta love how Sonny said "I don't need to be talking to him!" After he spent an episode and a half talking to him. So gangsta, Sonny. And what was up with Carlos' accent here? I swear it intensified 10 times and changed, just because he was probably sh*tting himself with fear. And Sonny is such a romantic! "I'm not going to ruthlessly murder someone if he's related to you, because that's the kind of man I am! But, if he's not related to you, I'm going to FINISH HIM!!!!"

But wub.png at Scott and Lucy. "He needs a shrink, not a father!" And their kisses... Damn!

Oh, and yum to Jerome being naked. Eye candy is basically all he's good for, so I'll take it.

OK, end of novel. Sorry.

I still can't believe anyone BTS would think "I can't stop murdering people" is a legitimate character conflict for a major soap romance. This already stinks and Carly and Franco have only been (rushed) together for about three minutes.

wow, Carly really didn't know Lulu lost her baby like 2 weeks ago? Good for Lulu bringing up how ridiculous it is of Caryl to ask her to hire the man that kidnapped and tried to blow her up

Ugh at Scott referring to he and Lucy's daughter

Overall pretty boring episode

Duh we a know that. GH two years ago was betting a 2.1 to 2.2 million in ratings now almost 3.45 on a Friday. Sweeping all freaking demos. Ron Carlivati right now reminds me of when lady gaga come out with bad romance as her single and she exploded to superstardom lol. Ron again the GAGA of daytime. These ratings are just freaking smoking hot.

Ouch.

I don't mind hearing that GH is doing well. I am happy the genre is doing well, somewhat well, anyway. I get that negativity may prompt someone to make a positive response in return. I'm certainly negative enough about the show to know there needs to be a more balanced view.

I just think it's not really suited for the episode thread.

    • True enough, and Tony and Annabelle suffer the same problem. And the people Quint and Nola had interacted with were gone--Kelly, Morgan, Helena, Mrs Renfield---even Van's been transplanted to the Lewis enclave. Nola's curiosity could've been used somehow, but after Reva's arrival it seems like Long is obsessed with selling that woman to the audience.  As originally written--no, the Chamberlains weren't stockholders anymore. At least not to my understanding. But any story where Quint and Vanessa teamed up, realizing that Alex had played them, and found some loophole to get back in to restore Henry's legacy would've been welcome. As much as I like India--Spaulding gets weird in '85 with Alex, Phillip, India and Warren fighting amongst themselves.

    • Same. And looking sooooo good.
    • Yeah this episode was actually really good. I loved SINN together against Looney
    • I can forgive them not writing a lot for Quint/Nola at Van and Billy's first wedding, given that Lisa was hugely pregnant and the other story going on was Tony's medical crisis. But yeah---Nola and Quint barely even speak to Van for that last year-plus. Not even after little Billy's born (although Nola and Van do have a nice scene, which is one of the few that they're just nice to each other) or the fallout of Van's addiction, and they flippin' leave when Billy's in a coma or right after being in one)  Even Henry goes to story Siberia. They gave them a big, new set and the promise of some Billy/Van/Nola/Quint family squabblin'--and NADA.  How COOL would it have been to see Nola side with Van and put Reva in her place? But no...NOLAROBICS. RME. Reva really needed someone outside of Josh to tell her like it was. Instead, Billy's head cheerleader. And Jon's calling him "uncle Billy", which just about made me gag.
    • 5-12   Well, as much as i've been enjoying the highs of BTG, I guess I should try to play catch up on my other soaps...lol.   I actually liked this episode. But I guess it could be because I felt there was a lot going on. Bill and Liam's talk. Luna attempting them inroads with Finn. Steffy comforting Hope over Liam. Sheila thanking Bill for helping Luna. Even a decent cliffhanger with Steffy walking in on Luna and Finn.   I know I said it before, but I don't care for the Liam storyline, but the acting has been good.
    • I enjoyed Santa Barbara from the beginning. Mainly because it was so fresh and different than the P&G soaps I was used to watching.  But there is no denying that it did not hit its stride until 1985. The writing, casting and production all finally came together. Unfortunately backstage drama then slowly destroyed the show and for me from 1988 onward it was a completely different show than the one I was a fan of.
    • Oh, really? That explains why the reveal episodes...the majority of which Zimmerman did the breakdowns for...hit perfectly. Cool! I really loved that. Background music and all.
