ChrisB what I am noticing is story is finally showing up on screen something honestly while u think josh griffith is talented his y and r put me to sleep it was so boring. I felt like all year I watching dialogue and scenes without compelling story. Shelley has integrated real story into the show showcasing history and vets but keeping u want to tune in. JG was fired in August so she has to man the ship solo until jean started last week. She has tons of experience I mean she was at oltl from 1998 JFP hired her then till about 2011 and then was at GH for about two years until she joined y and r. Tons of experience in the biz and now she is getting a chance to head writer. It's no easy task.

Could that be more condescending?

Geez they could've showed atleast 5 minutes of the service instead of focusing on pained Adam outside.rolleyes.gif I truly could care less about Chelsea and Anita either. Oh well, I'm glad its over.

That's exactly what I thought. No one feels sorry for that monster who has probably already had his SUV flattened/destroyed by now.

On another note, I am so tired of reading all of the Jean P/Shelly A worship. Wishing johnnysbro would start their own thread for that. It's boring. I will have to block their comments if it continues, I guess.

I loved how everyone showed up to honor Delia at the tea party. Still ticked that another Abbott had to die to donate body parts to a Newman though. An angry viewer's viewership is likely to be short-lived. We want to be entertained, not insulted.

The thing is you have the option to ignore the jean and Shelley gush posts. The thing is if something bothers me I ignore it. I just have an extremely optimistic view about where y and r is going and I am allowed to share that.

Yeah but thais a Passante appreciation thread, its a Y&R thread and who cares what Passante did on her previous stints in comparison to Y&R as she aint even started airing her work on Y&R, its getting tedious as compared to so called being optimnistic. You can lead a horse to water...........well we know the rest LOL!

Yes, it's a YR thread, but as the new co HW, Jean discussion is very much allowed. If Johnny wants to be optimistic, why not?

Your enthusiasm is great! I love it :)

I was about to write the same thing as ChitHappens.

For all we know, this could be the kick in the trousers Y&R needs. I don't know enough about the writing of either Head Writer to make an informed prediction as I didn't watch any of the shows they have worked on.

Jonny may be right on this one. He may be wrong. Let's wait and see.

All of the said posts read to me like someone with insider knowledge pimping their clients/friends. It doesn't feel like JB is just a fan of soaps, which may be absolutely fine for others. Also, the opinions of veteran soap watchers/posters commenting on the claims made by the poster have been dismissed outright, which also doesn't seem like something just an "optimistic fan" would do. Maybe I'm wrong. I've been wrong before. I reserve the right to use the block feature if this is all the poster has to contribute.

Little Cordelia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) is now in Soap Heaven with her bitchy ghost Paw Paw John (Jerry Douglas), her big cousin Colleen and the rest of Genoa City's not-quite walking dead on The Young and the Restless. While many fans were initially incensed at the thought of yet another Abbott being killed off this soap especially under the stewardship of Jill Farren Phelps (Sorry, but the lady does sort of have a rep for gutting popular characters on sudsers!), there's no denying the death of Billy (Billy Miller) and Chloe's (Elizabeth Hendrickson) little girl has provided The Young and the Restless with its most powerful umbrella storyline in years.

This is from daytime confidential from Jamey g part of the article. It's so true the performances are just stellar. It's a massive umbrella story that is going to give u goosebumps all over. I appreciate this article. It showcases Shelley's talent to write an encompassing umbrella story. For the rest article visit www.daytimeconfidential.com

The problem I have with this story is the same problem I had when they did it with Luke on GH. You cannot hit a child and not feel it. They want to have these people commit a hit and run, but not be to blame for it because they didn't know. It's weak and outside the realm of possibility.

So sure, I sort of feel for Adam because hitting a living person or animal with my car is one of my deep seated fears. Driving is pretty much the only way the vast majority of us will ever be in jeopardy of killing another human being, specifically a child. This would have been a better story if Adam had known he hit her and stopped. There would have been the same amount of tension between most of the players, imo.

Adam does feel guilt though unlike Luke. We've just sat through days of Adam feeling guilty and he actually did stop his car after he swerved because he thought he hit the dog. He stopped to check on the dog but Delia was in the bushes. Where Adam was wrong was not coming forward when he realized he actually did hit something.

The reason Adam didn't feel it us because he didn't do it. The problem with this story is that they want the drama with the select few faves and show hoggers without any of the consequences or repercussions for them. Which equates to no payoff in the end for the fans.

This show is so insanely depressing and I don't think I have ever seen so many talented actors phoning it in on a daily basis. I actually watch the 11:00 a.m. local news instead and then when it goes off at 11:30, I flip on the Roku. After watching since 1981, I have literally become one of the ex-viewers.

Again for me give me a riveting edge of your seat compelling soap versus Maria arena bells looney tunes laughing stock soap. I want to see Angelina's storyline again please give me Diana degarmo back on y and r I stead of a vintage Abbott breakfast scene I got this week.
