Really liking this latest plot by Kristen. I wonder what she's going to do. Is she going to rape him? Kristen's not able to have any kids but if she was able to, I would say she was planning on getting pregnant with Eric's baby. I could just see the scene where it's revealed that Eric is the father. "No John, this isn't your granddaughter/grandson......it's yours, Marlena! Your son is the father of my baby."

OK, I know this is a soap where people leave doors open all the time--but if you get adjoining rooms, the doors are always locked on either side...

Also, the time/pace on this show is really weird. Even by soap standards. I take it that's typical of DAYS? I still actually really enjoyed the episode.

Isn't Lorraine Broderick writing this show now? I'm contemplating giving it a try (I'll have to read up on the characters/history, however). Is it easy to get into?

She's an associate head writer. It's fairly easy to get into esp right now because they just wrapped some stories and new ones are kicking off.

She's an assistant head writer--which she was at OLTL for a while and AMC for a year--I think it makes a difference, and it has at DAYS, but you can't expect her AMC style.

It is easy to get into--or at least has been for me, but that's partly because of the usual DAYS trademarks which (as I said in my soap rankings post) never let me get fully invested. But I'd give it try.

I think I saw her playing with a bobby pin or something in her hands after she opened the adjoining door, so I guess we are to believe she picked the lock, but yes still not the most realistic entry maneuver.

I'm super intrigued by this new Kristen storyline. Can't wait to see what happens!

Days is really bringing the romance, love and sex in the afternoon far more than any other soap right now.

In terms of the one-liners and panache Kate is somewhat Erica-like as well.

I think Deidre Hall is easily the Susan Lucci of DAYS, but Sami Brady is more the Erica Kane.
