"I'm asking you to bless this ticket in the NAME OF SWEET JESUS!" LMFAO! LOVED that Actress.

That was a great ending w/Billy Clyde laugh.pnglaugh.png

JR rolleyes.gif I'm sorry I can't stand this selective amnesia BS. He could hear during his coma? WHATEVER!

The David/Bianca scene was everything!

lol @ the last Celia/Pete scene. Loved Pete throwing his hat outside the car.

Did I miss Brooke Newton/Colby?

This was a pretty good show and I am glad Billy Clyde showed up. That story is so grim, hopefully he will lighten it up a little. I like the new AMC and just about everyone in it. I like Pete and whatshername and their little boy meets girl story. The guy who plays JR I think will work out too. The Bianca/David scene struck me a little sad because watching them just reminded me of all the people they used to interact with who don't appear on the show anymore. Erica, Tad, all the staples who died...it's AMC but it isn't all at the same time.

I was glad to see the different interactions going on.

Really enjoyed Bianca's scenes with Miranda and with David. Both really good.

Poor Cassandra. What a rough story but so good to see Billy Clyde. LOL @ the blessing of the lottery ticket. His smirk at the end was everything. Loved it.

IDK how I feel about JR knowing Cara's secret. A part of me just loves this twist and I guess in a coma you can hear people, I don't know, TBH. I think Lindsay looked good today, actually.

Brooke looks fabulous but I just don't know if I buy Dixie prancing around in a power suit and designer pumps. I don't know how I think she should be dressed but IDK, she looks fantastic, but it's not working for me.

Wonder what happened to Colby? Maybe the press was wrong about the date? Or it got pushed.

Didn't mind Pete and Celia too much today. I liked David making Pete the proposition. Celia was much better in scenes with Evelyn.

Pretty good episode.

I think it was a hint that Dixie became a therapist during the past 5 years. Maybe she was studying in JR's room every day.

For me Eden Riegel ruled this episode! Bianca seemed so conflicted about JR waking up and I completely understand why she wouldn't want Miranda anywhere near the Chandlers or trust David. I'm hoping she and David join forces against JR in the near future!

Up to this point, I thought JR might not have been able to remember what happened that night, but now that it looks like he might blackmail Cara, I suspect he's faking the retrograde amnesia.

Overall, I really loved this episode. There was a great mix of characters today and we even got Brooke & Dixie having a conversation without the kids around. David getting involved with Cortlandt Electronics has me intrigued, Pete & Celia were good, I was relieved we didn't have to see much of Cassandra's porno debut and I can't wait to see Billy Clyde take on the Russians!

David's "reinvention" scenes today were spoiled for yesterday, so I suspect we'll see Colby's debut scenes on Monday. Nobody trusts David, but I'm sure he'll find a way to make Pete and Bianca indebted to him! I'm also sure JR will blackmail Cara into at least a faux affair to hurt David, but I think all he'll do is reignite D/C's feelings for one another! smile.png

I agree with alot of this. AMC is missing critical key characters. Something is off with the show. IDK what it is but it is becoming apparent that there are very real gaps and characters that are missed with interacting with other characters for sure. Having said that, the show is starting to settle down from some of the newness so ratings wise we will begin to see more real numbers on the progress or lack of progress with the show. Everyone on the show is working so hard to make it a show for everyone.

Yes, it still has the flair of AMC.

I hope not. The show is called All My Children and NOT The David Hayward show. I would like to see the character of David scaled back a little and allow the others on the show to step up and shine. Other characters are not getting enough airtime.

    • I forget that throughout the 80’s the TV seasons were officially over in April. Not sure why that was the case but it wasn’t until the mid-90’s that May Sweeps became a real official thing.
    • Jon Lindstrom proved with Ryan Chamberlain on GH that he can play menacing and evil. He's not doing it here, and I think it's a combination of writing and performance.   To be fair, Longoria has modeled and has represented major companies like L'Oreal, but she was never a runway model. I don't have any problem with seeing Dani as a runway model. I think it's more than possible, and I don't understand anyone criticizing her look. I actually have a bigger problem with the whole "Anita is an EGOT" thing. I think it goes way too far. Give her a Grammy. Say she was nominated for a Tony, or even won. But an EGOT winner? No.   The fact that you're using DAYS to defend a BTG set is telling, since we all know DAYS is poverty level soapdom. I expect so much more and better from Gates.     I can't help it, but I'm LOL at the people defending that backroom bingo hall casino and making excuses for it. It's hilariously bad.
    • If NBC could have for seen the ratings of Lovers & Friends (the replacement for Somerset).. they would have for sure kept Somerset on the air longer. https://jason47.com/days/ratings1976.html  (ratings for Somerset in the final year) https://jason47.com/days/ratings1977.html (ratings for Lovers & Friends short run...getting as low as a 2 rating).

    • I liked them, too, and was really disappointed it never went anywhere. The whole art theft story was ridiculous, but they had a nice chemistry. Certainly nicer than Alan with Christine. With her, he looked like the funny uncle. The worst thing they did to Bolger, IMO, was having Phillip write that DREADFUL novel and dramatizing it while he wrote it. GAG, that has to be in the running for one of their worst storylines that didn't involve wacky things like clones or time travel. Soaps rarely do school storylines, or don't do them for very long. Not the case so much in the early days of soaps, but after GH took off in the late 70s other soaps took their lead and would catapult teens/young adults into adult stories right away. That's one reason Phillip and Mindy ended up with so many ex-spouses--they started getting married really young. They shipped Dina and Cameron off really fast after high school and stuck Alan Michael in a marriage storyline with Harley. Did he EVER go to college? I don't think so. It may also partly explain why Quint and Annabelle had to go, beyond TPTB wanting to do a cast sweep. Teaching is not a profession that plays well on a soap. Quint definitely had to quit being Indiana Jones, because that wore thin really fast, but they didn't do him favors by making him a professor. If they wanted to keep him, they should have done what they did with Amanda (who was in another dead-end soap job, concert pianist)--have him work at Spaulding as one of the major stockholders.
    • Judith McConnell (Augusta) and Denise Alexander (Lesley) were great screen partners on GH.  They got into some stellar arguments in character in the medicine room.
    • He also commented that Brad knows that fans are sick of the constant fake deaths on this show: Finn, Sheila, etc and that it's hard to take this seriously if it's another fake death

    • I just don't think Brad Bell has it in him to actually kill off Liam. He should have killed off Eric when he had the chance. I know John McCook is an original cast member, but Eric is even more useless than Liam. Eric should have died and then it would be revealed that he died without a valid will, so Donna, as his wife, inherits everything, including his shares in Forrester Creations.
