OLTL-Tuesday, April 30th 2013 Discussion Thread

It's just really nice to have a relatively fresh slate for both shows. Even with the reveal kind of fluffed off, all it means is we can go on to new stuff for the characters. Looking at GH still mired down in Ron's endlessly prolonged stories, like the Robin thing which is now totally out of control - and I usually love Ron's long, long story threads - it's just nice to not have anything left hanging over us. Whatever did go down with Todd and Victor, it's coming out here.

I thought that was common knowledge. RH can only shoot on his off week right? And, I assumed that TSJ's return was a short term thing too or else they wouldn't have played all these games. They've got scheduling conflicts to work around with both these guys, don't they?

Yeah I doubt TSJ is long term

nice to see he actually attempted to act in his scenes today lol

Oh, that whole document is a rambling mess of all sorts of stuff, some of it very overblown. I think that situation is very fluid, and last week Erika Slezak indicated they were getting Roger back again, so I tend to just take as it comes.

No argument that was one odd document.

Anyhoo, when OLTL resumes taping in a few weeks I expect this will all be resolved one way or the other. Like I said I don't think RH or TSJ are long-term and the PP writers were forced to move at lightning speed as a result.

I can care less that she's pretty and skinny. It will serve the character well in the long run because it evens the playing field between her and Dani. I don't think LH is a bad actress. She's clearly inexperienced. I am noticing strengths and weaknesses in her right off the bat. In her favor I don't get the feeling she's just reading lines off a page. She does a lot better with subtle character scenes. Direct opposite of SE who usually bombed those type of scenes. I enjoyed the scenes with her and Matt just talking. I felt her resentment and frustration towards Matthew (rightfully so) and her sadness over the strain between her and Dani.

Anger is not her strong suit. Funny because AT and SE did okay with those type of scenes. Once again her confrontation scenes with Matthew and Jeffrey tanked. She's trying too hard to display anger and it comes off fake. She's needs to improve in that area if she's going to be a serviceable Destiny. Destiny is quick tempered. It's a core part of her personality.

That I get--that's good insight. I don't think anyone's expressing that beyond you and it's something I can grasp.

It's the old mentality of let's rip it all apart before it has a chance to start that infects the internet. I knew better than to come out of hiding but I did it anyway. There's a difference between it not connecting with a person and critiquing a green actor/actress that just started and it shows.

I'm glad they aren't going at a snails pace when telling a story. Enjoyed the second day as much as I did the first, and am actually liking the opening now. The more I see it, the more it grows on me. Can't wait to see what happens tomorrow...

I'm dead now, Robin replied to a tweet I sent her lol

Did it make any sense or did you have to decipher it? tongue.png

I think their returns are about as short-term as Eden Riegel's. She's coming back as per her schedule after doing a play and is, I believe, still contract at AMC, although I haven't checked their end credits. And PP's schedule allows them to do that.

Eden is on contract in the end credits. I would guess they're expecting a lot more from Roger than Eden if he's in the opening and Eden isn't.
