GH 50: Discussion for the Month of April - May 3, 2013

That's cute! Good for you! People vent. It's what happens. Again, this asinine chastising people for expressing their dislikes about what they're viewing on a show they're invested in. Dear God!

I guess we are all watching a show for different reasons. I have enjoyed a lot of bad soap over the years (Melaswen among others), but I knew that I liked it, I didn't call myself an invested soap critic missing Bill Bell's psychological drama and expecting it to be back the next day. We can discuss each soap and why we keep watching it even when we have hated it for years.

Many posters have been chased away from this forum because they had the nerve to say that they were enjoying the show they were watching, while the cool kids (who propably had "invested") were b*tching on a daily basis about a soap they claimed they hated, yet they knew every piece of dialogue by hard. I find this very interesting. What I don't find interesting at all are angry "soap investors" trying to scare me from a soap board smile.png

I love seeing more of Milo. I do not like Emme as Lulu, not yet, and I really loved her on GL.

Nikolas and Elizabeth wub.png damn! He is so hot. Get that, Lizzy!

I only saw like 3 episodes of Brenda's return but I'm assuming VM made enough money to cover rent for a bit, so that's nice.

I'm glad for her, too. Pretty like that can get old fast on the streets. ;)

If this drives more people away, I apologize in advance, but:

- If Milo is going to continue to get airtime I wish he'd have some voice lessons for the lisp.

- I don't know if that's deliberate to show he's a sleazy character, but Scott being close to popping out of his suits is very distracting.

- Speaking of distracting, Laura's baggy, untucked shirts make her look like she's a few minutes away from teasing Luke with her own personal show of Leave your Hat On.

- Brenda was wearing an ironing board cover when she left town.

- Judging by that ugly red top with the torn arms, Felix must have given Sabrina some of his grandmother's disco fashions. Or his failed drag night entry.

- Every time Felix trips over his lines I want someone to spray water in his face.

- I'm all for avoiding fake tans, but ER's Lulu, like many younger women on this show, looks like a corpse.

- I liked the rape joke's blouse.

Awe, i love it.

If he had any charisma, I probably wouldn't notice it as much.

There's a real lethargy in so much of the show. I'm always shocked at how flat and bored Geary and Shriner are...the only time that people seem to care is when they go hogwild and embarrass themselves (you know who I probably mean). I'm not a Carly fan nowadays but I will give Laura Wright credit for usually knowing just how far to go, and not phoning it in.

I really liked Carly's dress in the episode where Brenda left town. It reminded me of something you'd see at stores near reservations. The color was right for her and I liked the accents, or whatever you call them.

I'm not making assumptions. I don't presume to know how every viewer of GH feels and what they like. I'm just telling you what the feedback I saw and that was passed on to me said, and that was that an apparently large percent of the GH viewers enjoy this [!@#$%^&*] [!@#$%^&*].

I doubt it makes much of a difference at all. I guess I was just trying to state a pay to possibly change it since they apparently care so much about that stuff, but yes, you're right, it probably wouldn't make a difference at all sadly.

Where is this proof that the majority of viewers are actually enjoying this?

I think I misunderstood adelaide too. I think she meant she was told by someone she believes that the feedback has been positive. And maybe it has been. I never claimed to know what the general viewing audience likes or dislikes.

I really liked Carly's dress too when she first wore it 2 months ago, about 6 eppies ago (on GH). Carly is a very wealthy woman and her wardrobe needs some work. She used to dress to the nines! Repeating outfits is fine (jeans, top, etc), but that dress stands out and should not be worn often!

Geary and Shriner were trying to feed off of anyone else's energy as they both had none to offer their scenes. I am a champion of taking pride in anything you do and giving it your all, but I can't imagine these scripts are making many happy. There's really nothing to "act" for.

You've pretty much summed SON up in a nutshell.

That's a general statement against SON and false! GH discussion is pretty much limited to the GH thread and may spill over to a related thread, depending on the topic, but believing Cartini are a very poor fit for GH is not associated with the SON board.

Cut the crap!
