James has always remained close friends with Agnes Nixon and seems to be one of her fave actors (she was upset when she first wanted to leave, and did, due to the show moving to an hour) so I can't see her coming back to the show and not some story about a connection, or her being the character. It's too soon to assume she is playing someone completely diff, IMHO--and it would seem beyond bizarre for Francesca to suddenly come out of acting retirement to play a brand new contract role on her old soap. I hope they don't swoop to pair Zach or whoever up with some rando coffee shop owner, though. I assume Kendall is just out of town. Not that I care about Zendall, but just awkwardly shoehorning new people to fill slots wouldn't work for me. It would need to be organic story.
