AMC: The Prospect Park Era (old production thread)

Jamey is the poster child for why the soap press has become deservedly irrelevant and I will never understand why you drag his unfunny, self-indulgent bullshit here as if he has something unique or insightful to offer. If someone is interested in Jamey's take, we all know where to go to find it.

LMAO the man speaks the truth, sorry you don't like that. PP has done this before, blaming Lucci for the show, not getting off the ground.

Don't like it don't read it, it's not rocket science

Backwards reasoning. You can't decide that you don't like something UNLESS you read it. That's not rocket science, it's logic.

And if you worship Jamey so much why don't you just hang out at DC where you can bask in his "truth?" Why bring him here? There's literally nothing in that tweet of value. No news. No information. Just him being his typical bitchy self and you hopping on for the ride.

Shouldn't this thread title be "AMC: Not In Production"?

If the DC brigade were "speaking the truth" they would have said they never wanted PP to succeed in the first place, as I got that vibe again and again. Any threat to their beloved pin-ups Ron and Frank was not allowed.

Jamey wouldn't know the truth if it was chewing on his ass. The only reason he hasn't vanished into the ether like his former BFF Nelson is because he actually has his own site so (sadly) he can't be fired.

Nevermind.

What does this have to do with the Production thread? I really don't care what you think of the guy or what he thinks.

And what "truth?" He snarkily gave an opinion--I'm not even sure if it counts as an opinion. I'm not against people speaking bad about these shows, or saying what they want changed (I don't like ellabelle's suggestions for revamping the show--but she explained her reasons and I found it interesting to read *that's* an opinion.) The fact that he considers himself part of the soap press makes the fact that he seems so gleeful about this all the more ridiculous (wasn't it Jamey who complained about the revamps and then boo-hoo'd that he wasn't invited to the launches?)

IIRC they were invited. They snubbed the photo shoot and then did the premiere. They took a long time to bother to cover the shows.

Too true!

It is sad that someone so biased and unprofessional can't be fired.

Yup, that was Jamey whining about missing the launches. He never gave them a chance.

They were at the premiere. They ditched the photo shoot.

PP invited DC to the photoshoot & Jilloan Bowe lives in NYC where the shoot was but didnt go. Then bitched about no invite

  • Member

That sounds right. Either way he DID complain about missing the initial photo shoot--I didn't realize they had been invited and didn't go... I mean, I understand if they couldn't afford to send someone there, or whatever, but to then act like they were not invited?

They were invited and said "we were too busy/at an airport/whatever." I don't remember them bitching about not being invited to that - they were still turning their nose up at that time.

Then they did the premiere and yelled things in the theater.
