I loved Up All Night. Enough so that when that NBC show got greenlit, I was confused for a brief minute. LOL.

I loved that blonde bimbo when she said "Up! All Night..."

Ah, the lovely dimbulb Rhonda! wub.png UAN was the only program to show the unedited Duran Duran "Girls On Film" video, so of course I was there! I also loved the cult movies like "Smithereens" and the infamous "Reefer Madness" and "Cocaine Fiends." C'mon USA, make our shows FUN again! :)

Simply asking...

If AMC/OLTL were to air in the late hours (after 11:00 PM) on a cable network. Would you watch them?

I would probably watch on Hulu, but this late hours on a regular cable network idea would be a lot better idea than DirecTV. Ideally, if the show is going to be on a cable network, it should be to reach more people than just the online audience ... If someone has DirecTV, they can probably already watch on Hulu or iTunes so the show would get deceptively low ratings on DirecTV. DirecTV does not reach most people; there are a lot more people with cable than with DirecTV. People who would pay to get DirecTV to watch the show would probably be better off paying to get Hulu Plus. I also have a bad taste in my mouth from DirecTV using Passions (even though I was never a fan of that soap).

Yeah Direct TV wouldn't be too good. Isn't that why Passions didn't last, didn't reach enough audience after it came to Direct TV?

Yep I could DVR it. I'd rather than that watching on my laptop

I'd watch them on cable but since I'm lucky enough to have Hulu on my Blu-Ray player, I'll watch it that way. I'd probably still DVR it though LOL.

If there were an episode I thought was worth rewatching and saving, I'd DVR it after 11 p.m. since I'm not a night owl.

Only if they were not exclusively with one tv provider. I would hate it if it were Direct TV only. If it were on USA or something I would be happy.

Actually, Passions was Direct Tv's highest rated program at the time of broadcast.

The reason Direct Tv opted to air the show originally was because they were hoping that the fans, wanting to view their show, would subscribe to Direct Tv (if they didn't have it already). Even though ratings were high, the estimated #s of new subscribers didn't increase as much as Direct Tv had hoped so they opted to cease carrying the program.

Hi all,

A lot of you have asked about my interest in working on the returning soaps AMC and OLTL. Oddly, they are both being shot in the town in which I live, Stamford, CT, so the commute would be great. I do have some interest, but my guess is that, at least at first, they will only be tapping into the incredible talent that have put in their time already on both shows. Wouldn't be much of a reunion if you recast any characters or added new ones. But down the road, who knows? They both are stocked with several actors I have great respect for and would love working with. We'll see. In the meantime, I continue to pursue my beloved theater work. I'll keep you posted on upcoming shows. -R

IMO, Robert Newman would make a fabulous Ross Chandler recast.

Jeff Martin would be a good fit too

Passions didn't last because it was garbage.

Ross is a Chandler, a Cortlandt, and a reformed rapist. He can drive a lot of stories.
