Members starwatcher21
These ratings will be interesting. I predict all soaps will lose viewers. I hope GH stays steady or gain.
Members marceline
I'm curious to see what happens with DAYS.
Members DRW50
I'd be surprised if DAYS doesn't have a big drop, and if GH doesn't keep sliding. B&B seems to be the one consistent soap.
Members edgeofnik
Soaps lost their biggest potential day of the week because of the Inaguration. Double whammy a Monday AND MLK Day.

Members JONNYSBRO
Thats awesome for GH going up and DAYS really holding ground. Honestly I have a strange feeling Lorriane Broderick has a huge force at DAYS. She should be promoted to co-head writer of the show. Lorriane-Chris-Gary all worked together at OLTL in the early 2000's and won an emmy for best show. They really love working together. Lorriane was never going to AMC, I am hearing she is having a great time at DAYS.

Members jfung79
Days barely dropped after the previous week's BIG week. It dropped just 41,000 viewers, and maintained a 2.1 in households. It is also still up year to year. So glad it maintained viewership. Yes, way to go Lorraine Broderick! For all his campiness at times, Gary Tomlin has a long pedigree as a soap writer as well that started in the early 80s. He had a lot of early experience in the great training ground of Procter and Gamble. He and Richard Culliton already worked together way back then. Also Chris Whitesell started at P&G in the mid-80s. Melissa Salmons, David Levinson, Carolyn Culliton, Janet Iacobuzio, too, all have had long stretches on P&G soaps. Days right now is chock full of P&G writers and it shows in the depth, warmth, and realistic nature of the writing on a daily basis.
Members #1_Bitch_Boy
Hell yeah! Anybody know how on Earth General Hospital is able to afford all these A-Listers (Hughes, Buchanan, Rogers, Mattson, Herring, Wagner and now Francis)? Did letting Steve Burton go loosen up a lot of cash?
Members Soapsuds
I think most if not all of the returns are on recurring and not on contract that is why so many have returned.
Members sheilaforever
Don't think they cost that much anymore. None of them had a job before, they are aware that this is 2013 and far from the golden days at daytime, so... But Steve Burton salary sure is like golden piggy bank.
