Well Ron's writing has been massively better than anything Guza wrote for them. Did you see what Guza did to Rick Webber? Or Holly Scorpio? I welcome Ron's writing.

his role was originally Luke's but it was tweaked to accommodate Robert. I kinda doubt the touching reunion scene with his daughter Robin was meant for Luke. Stuff with Patrick and his place as Anna's ex husband was also obvious changes for Robert. Quite frankly it worked out for the better bc it should have been Robert uncovering the truth behind Faison and fighting to save Anna, not Luke. Robert's inclusion made it better bc I doubt I'd have enjoyed it had it been another push with Luke trying to get Anna back

To add to that, I've long ago made my peace with the fact that this show will never be as great as it used to be - even with Ron's writing steering the character in a superior direction than the last batch of hacks.

Meh. I figured Genie's return would happen sooner rather than later. I just wish this show weren't tied so stubbornly to the Luke & Laura mystique, especially after all Tony Geary and Bob Guza, Jr. did to ruin it.

There's a lot you can do with Laura outside of remixes of "Rise". It would be nice if they tried. I'd just settle for seeing Lesley and having them mention Amy passing away.
