Unpopular Opinions Thread: 2013 Edition

Okay....now that it's months since her passing, I feel free to say it....I never considered Jeanne Cooper among the elite daytime actresses.

She died, and that's sad, but no, she wasn't what I'd consider one of daytime's biggest stars either. She was just there a long time.

See? There still are truly unpopular opinions out there. Laugh all you want...I stand by it.

Im not laughing at you thinking that, but the statement about waiting a few months after she died to have said it. Like you gave her the courtesy of not saying right when it happened...lol

*chuckle* wellllll.....what I really wanted to say was that the way people were acting, you'd have thought she took Y&R with her. She was a good, mean bitch for like five years. The other thirty she spent waving her braceleted hands around.

Love it, but you lost me by having Alicia Minshew in your banner. Yuck!

The Salem Bradys are the most frustrating, hypocritical family in the history of soap.

worse than the Martins, bc they could be pretty dam hypocritical themselves?

I never liked Abe with Lexie. He always looked like he could be her father and for someone that looked so relatively young and hot against him, I always thought she needed someone more on her level, than Grandpa Carver. I loved when she would cheat, but unfortunately those affairs never went anywhere bc they would saddle her back with Abe who looked more suited for Celeste instead. Those two hooking up could have been explosive, especially after the years of Lexie messing with his brother and son

Dixie Cooney is a whiny, shrill, self-righteous, hypocritical, obnoxious bitch, and I wish she'd stop coming back to life.

(yes, I know AMC is over, but I still hate her)

First sentence: LMAO!!!

2nd and 3rd sentence: Whaaaaaaa? It's exactly the opposite: She spent 30 years being a mean, nasty, drunk bitch and then was turned into a saint for the last few years.

Just... you confuse me laugh.png

But, in all seriousness, she and Jill were the heart of the show. Her being gone crumbled the show even further.

The minute she started playing Fairy Godmother to strippers, the whitewashing began. I always felt bad for Jess Walton, constantly sucked back into the buffoonery of Kay vs Jill.

I just don't think she was one of the best actresses on the show. There were many times I cringed watching her. Even in scenes deemed classic.
