The only thing Kelly Sullivan can "keep going" is the funny she delivers to us inadvertently Every. Single. Day.

I liked JB but she never stood a chance. They completely played her. I think JL would have lasted longer had she gotten the part.

Ugh! I would be in heaven! I was, initially, so against her as a recast Liza Colby. The age difference, the look, the total character change... But when Pratt left All My Children and the role started being written in character, I loved her take on it! I would take her over that snaggletoothed, harpy shrew currently pretending to be Carly in a heartbeat!

I reserved judgement at first about JL as Liza and over time she totally made the role her own. She was wonderful as Liza.

I was talking about an episode from 1984. Even AMC's last few years had longer scenes than Ron's scenes!!

Also, It is hard for me to watch 70s soaps at times (unless half an hour) because the scenes are too long. I think the mid-late 80s soap scenes are ideal.

Some of it is Ron's style--more that he likes to go back and forth between scenes in the same "act", although OLTL and GH were known to do that before him, but much is as others have mentioned something that's been going on with soaps since the early 90s at least (and Gloria Monty revolutionized the use of shorter scenes when she overhauled and saved GH in the 70s). I miss longer scenes, but even at AMC we'd only every so often get a really long dramatic one that was allowed to build. I like to blame Ron, but you can't as much for this (it also is a stylistic trait that is at least partially decided on by the EP).

Agreed- (and really no recast should have survived being so wrong for the famous take on the role--and being written in with that awful scene of pool table sex with Zack--but she won me over, one of the few times I can think of such a weird recast working).

She sucked in her first year or two. Just sucked. It was a horrible miscast and cronyism with Chuck Pratt.

It wasn't til the fling with Damon that she won me over. The revulsion, need and dysfunction Luner showed in the character was a lot more visceral than anything Marcy Walker had done as Liza in many years.

Oh my gosh Felix & Carly, hahaha tongue.png

"Oh good Lord what happened to your hair girlfriend"

I just about fell out of my chair by the delivery, hilarious! And Carly's face laugh.png

It looks like they are going to make them friends, that just may make me like Carly.

Damn Sam you're making me want Todd to get off scot-free especially given Jason NEVER paid for anything he's done, nor have you
