HOLIDAY MIRACLE: Prospect Park Back On Track To Revive AMC and OLTL

  • Member

WTF!!!!!

EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

Well, if that's the case, we Canadians are SOL. sad.png

That's my worry too. Last year they announced that they WOULD make it available to Canadians, so I hope they're still thinking that...

I'm not quite sure I understand the logic of why you would pay to buy a DVD of episodes you've already seen but won't spend money to watch brand new episodes.

How is that illogical? It makes more sense to spend money on something you're guaranteed to enjoy...

It's amazing to see the unemployed soapies come out of the woodwork to facebook friend the new PP exec producers. Pepperman has some new friends. Chrystal Chappell and Kim Zimmer! Kim wants Echo to be the star. Chrystal wants to be headwriter and star of the show! Has Kimmie slimmed down?

Kim Zimmer needs to shut her fat face. Sorry.

...But I'm from Grand Rapids (where she was born, raised, and still has family) and certain people I know have encountered her. What a BITCH! True.

You're not Angelina, honey.

I taught with a guy who left the school I was at and ended up working where Kim's kids went to school. He said that when she would show up at the school, the teachers would hide from her.

Does anyone know how Susan Lucci is in real life? I have a friend who know someone that lives on Long Island and my friends friend has told her that SL is a demanding bitch except around fans. I don't believe that but can anyone confirm?

I've always thought deep down that she's a bitch...who only does that sweet act in public. Sorry unsure.png

I still admire her, though.

She probably has her bitchy moments like ALL of us do, but I've never thought her being sweet was any kind of act

Don't believe everything people tell you, most say stuff to get attention

I think the Susan Lucci persona is probably fake, increasingly so as the years pass, but I don't think that means she's a bitch. She's just not going to be that persona.

Susan was always very friendly when I attended Super Soap Weekend back in the day. Carl pretty much said what I think on the matter.

Susan always gave off a fake as hell extra niceness routine at public events

It's like she tries too hard to want people to think she's the total opposite of Erika Kane in real life, when the lines are probably a lot more blurred than she wants to let on.

I Just Read the Artical on the SON front Page about PP's deal with Universal Music Group. I wonder if PP could use Y&R's old music department?

Via a telephone like communication - someone who knows someone, etc - so take it with a grain of salt. It isn't so much that Susan is a bitch, but she expects things a certain way on set, meaning she likes it done her way. For instance, she takes about three hours to get ready for hair, make-up, wardrobe, etc, and she doesn't like to be called in any earlier than necessary, and she is prickly if she is.

I've never heard anything but good things about SuLu.

I've always felt the insistence on saying otherwise is a) a figment of people's imaginations about Erica Kane the character and B) largely a product of Buffy the Vampire Slayer stans. I loved that show too, SMG was great and has always been loyal to the soaps, but you want to talk about someone who's got lots of dark clouds following them through showbiz, look no further.
