Tyler is a playboy with a smart mouth and Alex is an arrogant detective with a smart mouth, but Mason displays a more endearing, respectable, and child-like quality. Hopefully they all three stick around. I much prefer them to half the cast we already have but I don't see where their headed with Mason outside of Newman. I know alot of people were nervous because the actor was a model but he has charisma that alot of the men on Y&R from the past few years were lacking.
