- The minorities. In JFP's first interview she mentioned wanting to boost this side of things, but so far I have to say I don't see it. I know there are some new minority characters coming on, but based on how much we've seen Devon, Neil & Lily thus far, I'm not hopeful it'll be more than the 1st & 15th we got with MAB. This regime threw out actors as fast as they possibly could and immediately threw their characters and stories to the frontburner. If Neil or Lily were important, the same would've happened for them. Like every regime, they say it's going to take time to put something in place for the black characters and then you get very little. Debbi Morgan is a damn good actress and whether you're going to keep her or not, they should've given her a proper exit story to pave the way for something new for Neil and Devon. Not giving her a final scene with Devon (or Katherine) was shameful, but it showed what kind of future Neil will have.

I think they're slowly building up the Winters family and it's looking like Leslie will be part of that. The Newmans and Abbotts were already frontburner when Griffith took over so they didn't need as much work.

And the one thing that really annoyed me was them letting Jennifer Landon go. She's a great younger actress and I loved her chemistry with everybody. She puts so much heart into all of her scenes and I feel there was more to learn from her. She's better than Summer or Eden, who are still around. MILES better and more interesting than Liz Hendrickson, Melissa Claire Egan or Christel Khalil. I just don't understand why she wasn't given more time. She's also Paul's only family member. I could see them taking Landon's added toughness and making her more of a Katie Logan-esque character and pair her with Adam. That could work.

I understand their reasons for letting Landon go. The show can only have so many lawyers and they have Michael, Avery, Leslie and Christine (all of whom are more popular than Landon's Heather). Heather isn't needed at this point.

Landon's Heather just arrived and hadn't been given enough to say whether she's popular or not. She's a damn good actress and Paul's only relative on screen. There was room to grow with smart writing.

Adam, Chelsea, Avery and Summer didn't have story and were immediately thrown on the frontburner. If they wanted to build something for Neil, they could have. He was in a relaitonship with Harmony, so why not give that story a proper climax (for Devon as well) so you can prepare for his next "big" story. But as usual, they need to build things as slow as possible. That's always the excuse and nothing ever changes.

I think Neil will be on alot more in December since KSJ mentioned filming alot. Unfortunate Lily's supposed to be on alot more too and she's insufferable. I like DM but I was not sorry to see her go. She should've went right back to primetime and movies after AMC ended that ghetto character YoHarmony was someone I never connected to so I didn't care about an exit.

As for JL being let go. Who cares? Her Heather was asexual and boring. Heather hasn't been a character worth mentioning since Vail Bloom.

So glad that Leslie is back and getting material. they had so dropped the ball on her character last year and really hadn't done a thing with her since bringing her back

I wish she could get a man her age instead of Neil.

I wish the same for Leslie. I have no desire to see her attempting to loosen up Neil. Too bad he's her only option.

Y&R looks visibly better to me - better coloring and lighting. The furniture in Kay's house seems to have been rearranged but her living room also looks different in another way. The pocket doors to the dining room at the Abbott house have been closed for a while. And that distracting and loud music has tapered off. All good things. Still, I'd like for there to be dayS when Phyllis and Adam are not onscreen...

I don't mind Phyllis as the writing has improved for her. Adam however, is terrible in every way and needs to get off my screen. I also am hating that music. Worse than LML.

I love MS but I am sick of Phyllis. This kind of thing can and should be prevented IMO.

I think both should be written off. I watched again today and was just in aww how both are still on the canvas and how Jack is all accepting to work with Adam after he treated Ash like [!@#$%^&*]. I havent noticed any difference between MAB or JFP Y&R. Why are the sets now so damn yellow too??
