Members marceline
LOL! What shows has she been in?
Members DRW50
Apparently she was in Young Frankenstein (I think). I'm sure she was good in it, but when people use that to point out her talent, I just wish she showed any talent on GH.
Members JackPeyton
I like a lot of bad acting, but Kelly Sul is so horrendous i have trouble getting through a scene with her in it.
Members marceline
I just looked her up on IBDB. I was expecting a longer resume. Based on the gifs I see here, I can see how she got cast in a Mel Brooks show. Well it's got to be either this one, TWOP or Daytime Dish, right? I think that sometime in early 2013 we're going to get one of those Farah Fath-style "When Keepin' it Real Goes Wrong" moments out of Ron. He seems to be getting more and more focused on his detractors.
Members DRW50
RC has spent years being idolized and adored, by many fans and by the soap press. This creats some type of situation where if someone believes their own hype, they will be more upset at the criticism. I don't have a problem saying a lot of my criticism is petty bitching, but I don't have enough respect for Ron Carlivati as a writer to rise above petty bitching. And that gif above tells you why. Members VirginiaHamilton
I'm surprised Ron was expecting anything other than the above, considering how the majority of the folks on this message board are determined to sh!t on him no matter what (and, yes, I said this board because the folks on TWoP - with all their faults - have never come across as relentlessly miserly as the former). As much as I find his constant calling out of these hypocrites amusing, he'd do well to weed out the tiresome tantrums and pay attention to the valid criticism if he (and Frank) are serious of making GH's twilight years consistently enjoyable. Members Y&RWorldTurner
There was nothing special about this episode, I think the execution was way off, especially the dialogue and acting from the main players. Something about it felt very rushed and half-hearted. I'm sorry, but Guza would have done a much better job at this, but no one will admit it. Members Cheap21
I loved those scenes. Pure hilarity. Not as intense as this though
Members ChitHappens
Sadly, some still find this entertaining. But Tarly are beautiful. I thought shipping pairing this hard was over for me, but I'm so glad Daytime has them. So lovely! Loved when Todd wrapped Carly's arms around his waist to stop her from killing that clown
Members DRW50
I think JFP and Guza handled these types of episodes in a better way than most in daytime in recent years - the scripts for the death or funeral episodes would usually be strong, and have good dialogue, good performances. But that seemed to be fading by the end (Jake's death was so rushed and flat), so I don't know.
Members Vee
I thought it was a fine episode. They were fighting to make it happen before Thanksgiving so they could do the Quartermaine celebration and lead into the Nurses Ball, and I thought they did very, very well. I thought Jane Elliott was very, very good. Frankly I'm just glad she didn't shriek again like she did at Lila's memorial. I was so embarrassed by that scene and thought it was way too on the nose. Members OldGHFan
I thought the episode was great. Could it have been better? Sure. But I certainly don't think Guza would have done better. He killed off Alan Q needlessly (not to mention AJ and Emily) only to give Jason his BOP. I couldn't even watch Alan's death because I felt it was such a slap in the face to long time fans. Edward's death was much different. Edward died because John Ingle did. Edward's death was heartfelt and poignant. And it didn't center around Jason - thank goodness! Monica, Tracy, AJ, Michael and even little Danny got a POV. I'm grateful RC was writing this. Bravo. Members FrenchFan
The episode was great. Loved the touching moment with Edward and baby Danny. It was so sad that AJ couldn't make it on time but it made perfect sense. And the Lila mention at the end was nice.
Members Antoyne
Tracy overhearing AJ and softening in that moment, AJ not making it in time, and Edward reaching out to Danny were all made of win. I felt myself tear up, which I wasn't sure RC would be able to pull off. But I'm not overly shocked as Victor Jr.'s dying scenes on OLTL were well written too, but that may have boiled down more to Flo and TSJ's performances.. I didn't like Starr being there, but I also hate the character.
