Even if she was still with GH, I don't see how Jackie could afford that mortgage from 2007 on. She was not a highly paid cast member and would have had major salary cuts even if they had kept her on a few more years. Was she married to a well off man and is now divorced from him? Or did she have a business venture go bad?

So I'm honestly shocked by how disgust the new Haunted Star and Kate's Todd's remodeled office are. Those were two great sets, especially Crimson. I'm shocked because I thought OLTL, by far, had the best set design out of all the soaps and the best production values in general. The show has not looked very good lately, but no worse than under JFP . . . the only time GH has looked good since the mid-late '90s (when production values were amazing, IMO) was both times GW was writing--he was obviously giving notes about lighting, etc. I just remember how great both seasons of "Night Shift" looked and daydream that daytime could be produced like that . . .

She shouldn't have bought a house in Malibu though without a steady paycheck. It's expensive as hell to live there.

Best production was never OLTL. It was always B&B. Gh also had better production than OLTL. And yes JFP's production was miles ahead of the current GH. I don't remember shaky cameras and wierd stalker angles under JFP.

We can agree to disagree. I thought OLTL's sets, particularly the police station and courthouse were unmatched in daytime. OLTL really had lighting down, too.

I don't care for B&B's indoor sets, but they have always constructed good 'outdoor' sets with convincing lighting, something no other soap is able to do. I remember reading Brad Bell saying that they have a new production designer (or whatever this position is actually called) who is responsible for the establishment shots (something I think adds a LOT) and more casual location shoots, which really improves their production value.

I never though GH looked good under JFP, just like it doesn't look good now under FV. FV has been implementing more experimental camera techniques (or he's just giving the individual directors/camera operators free reign), but I don't think that's the problem . . . the lights are bright and GH's sets have looked cheap as hell since '04/'05-ish. JFP did a great job with "Night Shift" but they had WAY more sophisticated cameras and a lot more time to map every shot.

I was never fond of "Passions," GL or Y&R's production values, but I don't think any show has looked has looked as bad as ATWT. AMC was pretty horrible, too, but they improved once they moved to LA.

Looks like Jen Lilley has finished her stint as Maxie. No word on whether this means Maxie's out or Storms is returning. Stay tuned. #ghfcw
