Is Squibb any good? I've never seen her in anything -- and frankly, I can't see her as "mother" to La Lucci either.

Have you seen the film Nebraska? You should. Squibb is tart and hilarious in it.

Just finished watching the season 2 opener... you all will LOVE it! I added a bit below of what the episode will be like. I'm very excited for S2.

The beginning still confuses me a bit so I'll wait and we're in for another doozy. Marisol and these crazies.

I can't stop laughing at Marisol, Carmen & Zoila... they are in the courtroom cracking up and talking while Rosie is before the judge. I was weak.

The Powell's new maid.... SHE IS GIVING ME LIFE! I can't stop laughing at Adrian. He's a damn mess.

Lucci looks gorgeous as always... even in a black swimsuit and sheer coverup.

Camen & Alejandro's fauxmance is going to get on my nerves because of Carmen's act. Odessa needs to just quit.

I can get behind Valentina and Pool Dude... not too bad.

LMAO, Matt is killing me in this scene. Hard to describe but you'll see what I mean.

There's some more but I'll wait to discuss it with all of you.

Any commentary on the season premiere?

I don't have cable anymore, so I had to wait for the premiere to show up on hulu today. sad.png I wish they'd release them on TV and online at the same time.

My thoughts (spoilers for those who haven't seen it yet):

I love Evelyn Powell so very much, and this episode just drove that home for me. Her tripping over her feet at the sight of the bodyguard was just fabulous. I loved Genevieve and Zoila, of course. Their relationship is so much fun to watch. Valentina annoys me in a Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald from Passions kind of way because of her ridiculous love for someone she barely freaking knew. I am not remotely surprised to find out that Miss Immature broke up with her dream guy over what sounds like was a stupid fight. And yes, I understand that him wanting to stay in Africa longer was a big deal, and she'd made a lot of sacrifices for him, but breaking up like they did off camera just screams "I'm not mature enough to be in a committed relationship" from both of them. Remi, she moved to Africa for your coke-addicted self - quit being a self-righteous dick. That said, I love the idea of Valentina working for Evelyn and Adrian.

I'm intrigued by the mess Marisol has stumbled into, but I think the actor playing Ethan is kind of creepy. I kind of like the situation with Carmen and Alejandro. It has potential. I still don't like Rosie or her love affair with Spence. Spence just annoys the heck out of me as the meek man who isn't happy in his relationship but won't grow a pair and end the marriage so he can have what he really wants. I know Peri is a terrible person who ran over someone with her car and just left him there, and we're supposed to hate her, but it says something about Rosie and Spence when I can watch the show and be "Team Peri." unsure.png

I never finished Season 1. Why is the maid who wants to be a pop singer playing Brandon from DAYS' girlfriend? He's gay?

^^^^ of course...lol. Marrying Carmon is part of the coverup to hide it from the world

Ewww, Rosie is still around? Why couldn't her ass be deported?

Carmen is absolutely out of line with the way she's been treating Odessa.

Still cant stand Valentina's ass

A black family? Cant wait to see them!

Great premiere! Yay, the second-season curse doesn't seem to have affected the show.

I really love that it was revealed Marisol is connected to the main storyline. Opal is one creepy bitch, lots of gothicness in her that reminds me of Marland ATWT. I'm hoping we get to see a lot of twists and turns in this.

The Powells continue to be excellent. How fun was it that the bodyguard is so completely hot that it's Evelyn that is tempted and not Adian with the maid. And poor Valentina. I may not like her but she's getting mixed up in some dangerous sh!t working for the Powells.

Speaking of Valentina, big surprise, Remi and she are fighting, there's a hot new pool boy (sorry, pool man) yada yada yada. Genevieve continues to be drop-dead hilarious. I just cannot with her over-privileged ass one-liners!

Rosie seems to have gotten a haircut in the three months she was detained. Thank God she has Grant Show & the awesome Mariana Klaveno to carry her storyline for her. I do love that Peri's going to fake a pregnancy to keep them apart and I cannot wait for the truth about Peri turning Rosie in to come out.

Carmen is funny in her complete self-absorption. But as much as I love her and Odessa, they need to move her onto something new.

Interesting what happened with the thieves--modern Robin Hoods. I wonder where this will go.

The voice of the guy handing out money to the homeless sounded really familiar. Supposedly Remi is in Africa, so I don't necessarily think it's him, but when I watched the episode, my first thoughts were that Remi, Marisol's son Eddie, or Nicholas Deering's creepy son Ethan was part of that group.
