Glad you all are happy about the 1977 show. Based on feedback I hear I wondered if most of the feedback received is about newer episodes, couples, actors, etc.

1977 includes Bert, Mike, Jackie (the Spauldings are staying with her, and Alan has decided they will look for a house and be in Springfield about a year while he builds an industrial park), Holly, Barbara, Adam, Sara. The end credits have the full crawl but there's a bit of static in a few places (that's how the tape was - another reason why all this stuff needs to get digitized stat). Tom O'Rourke is listed as Thomas O'Rourke and Jackie is listed as Jacqueline Marler.

Just watched the Free Phillp & Beth at The Prom episode. In the Episode, ED,Maureen,Tony & Bert talk of ED & Mike going to Springfield

High. Didn't they go to school in Selby Flats??? I believe ED didn't arrive in Springfield to join his family until after he Graduated

Medical School in 1966. Guiding Light Could of really used an Historian or continuity Person on staff.

Anyway I really enjoyed seeing the Prom Episode again. Thanks

They moved to Springfield later. Mike Bauer actually moved to Bay City (and Another World) for a year before eventually showing up in Springfield and he was already a lawyer.

these 5 episode increments are so lame and for $13? Thats too much especially when you have primetime sets with ~22 episodes for $20. They really should bump it up to like 15

I agree. The price is rather high. But that 1977 episode is undeniable.

I did the survey. I love having something positive in the soap world and people who care in control.

Hoping to see more 20 Classic Episodes again soon too! But thanks again for getting another DVD out in record time, I can't wait to get it.

For five episodes I do think my total (I wanna say $16, with shipping & the discount) is a little too high. For a set like this I also think yall could've done 10 epsiodes easily. I can't believe the huge gap between 1998 and the final episode. I started watching in 2003 and I know from that time to when Phillip "died" there's LOTS of stuff yall could've included. Stuff with Lizzie and Olivia and Beth as well.

I think a 10 episode set with Phillip material would not have been impossible. He has a lot of kids/history/former loves and family members. Full crawl...that's great.

I took the survey as well and agree that the price is high for 5 episodes. I understand probably for timing reasons to do 5 episodes but 10 would be more appealing in the long run and maybe 25 episodes on the bigger releases

I think the Free eppy is May 14th or 15th of 1983.

I have no problem with the selections for the PS DVD, they seem to highlight the most important factors of Phillips life, Beth, his kids and Alan. My only issue might be that there isnt a Rick/Phillip centric eppy since Rick was also an important factor in Phillip's life.

Thanks soapClassics!!!

The free episode is June 1983 I believe it was a Monday, maybe June 20, will check into it later. They all left for the prom on a Friday. The next episode starts with Phillip waking up in Mindy's bed.
