Oh, so that's why all soaps did so good in ratings on Monday!

But, why haven't the ratings rose for Christmas then?? Anyone think it could have something to do with counting in DVR into ratings? Cause that's when they started to count them... I expected a rise in the ratings because of the DVR count, but nothing..

Only 100 homes with DVRs were added to Nielsen's sample. They are going to add more gradually. I actually think this small sample hurts soaps now. (Especially when you think about those 100 homes being spread across the entire country by geography, ethnic background, household income, etc. What are the odds that say the eight homes they picked in NYC happen to watch Y&R? Eventually, adding will help, but I didn't expect anything now.

3.5!!!!!!!! Go DAYS! I am so excited about that. Soooo close to that 3.0 average. I know they can do it.

There is an article that I read about how DVR numbers are causing ratings to decline rather than increase because of how small the sample is.

Thought some of you might find that interesting. B)

OMG a 3.5!! :blink::o

That is amazing numbers for DAYS, they tied B&B!

Once again a SCREWY day sets DAYS back. If they had gotten a 2.7 or 2.8 on that Friday they would have went up to a 3.0!!!

DAMN IT! Don't like that 2.6 for Friday though, hope that isn't a sign for the following week! I am hoping DAYS will remain in the 2.8-2.9 range.

Oh well, I wonder what Total Viewers were for that Monday!

WOOOOHOOO!!

DAYS ties for #1 again in 18-49 with a 2.2 (+.1)!! (Only with Y&R this time though)

DAYS also went up in 18-34 to 2.2 (+.1)!!

Not good demo numbers for PASSIONS!! They dropped to 8th in 18-49 and dropped their #2 spot in 18-34 to Y&R!

Weird, especially with DAYS seeing gains.
