He's much needed for Will's storyline and while I grew up on Days, the Lucas/Sami period was the first I was really an adult during (watching the show in college) and fell for them as a couple. I think Bryan Dattilo has excellent chemistry with Alison Sweeney, fits the Will Gone Wild storyline perfectly and Kate's favourite son is always welcome. I'm also interested to see how this regime plays the tension between Lucas and Carrie/Austin, since last go-round was their botched marriage. I know that Sami becoming everyone's BFF began before MarDar came aboard, but I did like some of the tension (that still exists too) between Sami/Carrie, who we saw had "made up" when Carrie was in town before, but I feel like that's only until Sami feels like Carrie is on her turf again.
