November 26, 201114 yr Member Amelia is almost 39. I don't have any problem believing Victoria is in her mid-40's. I've seen people that age who act like immature teenagers. I think they are embarrassing, and I think she is the same way. If we believe she's younger than that, then it throws much of the story even further out of whack - for instance, one of the reasons Victoria and Nick were not close to Adam was the huge age gap. That is now gone. It also leaves the impression that Victor went through all these women in a very short space of time, which trashes the character even further. Where was his love story with Nikki if he has a son with Hope who is the age of his other children? Where was his love story with Ashley if he had a child with Hope in the years he was involved with her? So Ashley was ten when Victoria was born? Ashley must have been Victor's child bride when a young Victoria hated her for being a home wrecker? Age is ignored on Y&R. At times, this can be a good thing and this certainly helps to keep some of the female actors protected from ageism and thus employed; however, it also ignores the show's history. How can Billy be 45? I guess this is why Victoria can no longer have children? If Victoria is 45, how old is Nikki...70? I get the feel that the writers peg Victoria and Billy for about 30; Nikki and Ashley for 49; giggly heffer at somewhere in between.

If they think Victoria is 30 no wonder the ratings are in the toilet. Ashley according to the timelines as set up now should be in her early 60s. Why are Y&R promos so much better than the actual soap? Even the production values on these adverts are prime time good. Diane really looks good dead. Now, if they could only make the show equally good.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCguhau6v5M I don't think Hogan takes ideas from his ATWT run, I think he's just a lousy writer who recycles the same crap wherever he goes.
November 28, 201114 yr Member Tucker + Ashley + a bed = WHY??? Meanwhile, as glad as I might be to see MTS back & thin & with longer hair (although, I still miss her classic long tresses from the '80's), that outfit she's wearing today (in Monday's U.S. episode) looks like it came from the Barbra Streisand "On a Clear Day You Can See Forever" Collection. November 28, 201114 yr Member No one has a real age on Y&R. Since the advent of botox, all characters are frozen in time and thus matchable for the purpose of bad love stories and lame super couples. I like that this may help certain vets, such as Ashley, but it does get messy. Diane as 35 was just over the top
November 28, 201114 yr Member For the love of God, can't they find something better for "Myrna" to hide her face with? She looks like she has a doily tied to her face!
November 28, 201114 yr Member For the love of God, can't they find something better for "Myrna" to hide her face with? She looks like she has a doily tied to her face! Speaking of Tucker and Myrna... Emily returns this week I hear as Tucker's therapist
November 28, 201114 yr Member Seriously, Genevieve? You would suggest watching scary movies with Kyle, a young boy whose mother was brutally murdered, as a form of bonding? Speaking of Tucker and Myrna... Emily returns this week I hear as Tucker's therapist If they're not re-doing the Patty/Emily switch, I'll be shocked.
November 28, 201114 yr Member Admit it, y'all: you were thinking Kyle was going to name that cat "Mr. Kitty." Don't worry, I'm as disappointed about it not happening as you.
November 29, 201114 yr Member Judging from the embroidered pillow, I think I know who killed Diane: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_gjnloFoC1uA/TJTxw9Ltw4I/AAAAAAAAAFw/y1cUY2udRt0/s1600/judy-garland.jpg
November 29, 201114 yr Member I can't believe they are going to have Adam running Newman. It's such a contrived turn of events without any build up.
November 29, 201114 yr Member Adam's running Newman, Billy's back at Restless Style, and all is fucked up with the world. Seriously, "Who Killed Diane?" makes me long for the good old days of "Who Killed George Rawlins?".
November 29, 201114 yr Member I don't see Muhney's acting as schtick at all. In fact, I think he's fascinating to watch, and one of the only reasons to watch Y&R these days. I get not liking someone, but I don't get the schtick thing. If Muhney's got schtick, so does everyone else in the cast.
November 29, 201114 yr Member If Muhney's got schtick, so does everyone else in the cast. True that. And no, it's not that I don't like Muhney, but I feel like Adam has been ABCD-ized and simply doesn't belong on this show (but that has more to do with the writing than him).
November 29, 201114 yr Member Seriously, "Who Killed Diane?" makes me long for the good old days of "Who Killed George Rawlins?". Who Killed Diane isn't that bad. It hasn't gone on nearly as long as The Terroni debacle.
