You sound surprised by that....that what RC likes to do with these old characters.

I'm not surprised. Pissed-off, yes. But not surprised. Never surprised.

just like they did to Victor Lord

Please. Don't remind me.

Just ugh. I don't care anymore.

New AE article about her cancer battleL http://abc.soapsinde...st-ca.html#more

I wish OLTL would write it into her story. Viki had cancer...it was breast cancer right? That does tend to run in families and would make sense if Tina had it. They could use that to explain her wig and one of the reasons she's stayed away instead of coming back and trying to make ammends. That could be used as the vehicle for Viki forgiving her as it would bond them and Cord may feel a bit more sympathetic towards her. I think AE would be up for it as it would be a way to educate a cause thats dear to her heart

I agree, I wish they'd write it in.

Funny side note: When I opened the link, at the top of my browser in the "tab", the title was too long. So it just says "OLTL Star Reveals Breast"

I don't think it's wrong to kill a character off after returning them to the canvas, but at least give them some good scenes to explain themselves. I'm not sure if any of the back from the dead characters have ever done that. Such wasted potential for scenes with Irene and Tina. I know that the show may see Irene as a laugh riot, but that's not what she was intended to be all those years ago. If everything is ha ha time, then there's nothing to invest in.

Well BR embraced the role and had fun with it and entertained me in the process. She seemed to capitalize on all the soap stereotypes and it was a much better spoof on the genre than SNL did. I don't think we've seen the last of Irene.

I don't have a problem with Barbara Rhoades, I thought she had a good time and was memorable. But why did this need to be Irene? Why not just have it as some woman who was with Victor or who was obsessed with Victor, someone who was tied to Mitch, etc.? It's so much like Rebecca - trashing a long-gone character for little reason.

They brought her back just to kill her off again?

Don't worry, David will ---.

Oops, wrong show.

So Victor JR. got shot once, couldn't say anything but I live you and died. Todd got shot and carries on an entire convo with Irene oh and kills her....cool.

Wasn't Victor shot about 50 times over the years?

Todd as well. If you combine their histories, for a character that's been around on and off for about 20 years, it truly is amazing they're both not dead.

So Peter was Irene's cousin? Why did I think it was her brother?

In the beginning Peter was Irene's brother. Somewhere it was changed to cousin.
