September 28, 201114 yr Member http://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/yr-casting-news-0 Y&R is actively looking for an actress to fill the contract role of a character in her mid-20s, who is described as "quick witted and high spirited" with "a lot of heart". The casting call further explained that "while she is self assured, she is unaware of the dynamite affect she has on men." The role begins taping next month. Insiders speculate this could be a recast for Heather, which was formerly played by Eden Riegel and Vail Bloom.
September 28, 201114 yr Member I'm sure Judy Blye Wilson will go through her roster of AMCers first. Does anyone fit the bill?
September 28, 201114 yr Member mid 20's???? How can this be Heather? This doesn't sound like Heather to me. Lots of heart and not knowing about her effect on Men? Edited September 28, 201114 yr by JaneAusten
September 28, 201114 yr Author Member Should have just kept Vail Bloom. +1 I'm sure Judy Blye Wilson will go through her roster of AMCers first. Does anyone fit the bill? We'll probably get Jamie Luner as Heather 3.0 *shudder*
September 28, 201114 yr Member I'm sure Judy Blye Wilson will go through her roster of AMCers first. Does anyone fit the bill? Melissa Claire Egan Chrishell Stausse Sarah Glendenberg Stephanie Gatschet Hopefully they are smart enough to stay away
September 28, 201114 yr Member For some reason I don't think this is Heather(I could be wrong). I always thought that they were happy with Eden in the role.
September 28, 201114 yr Member Please. We all knew they realized how ridiculous Eden was in the role, they just could no longer keep such a failure when they needed to clear money up for Melody and Debbi's salaries. I would accept defeat and beg Vail Bloom to return.
September 29, 201114 yr Member Did Paul's son ever arrive in Geona City?? Yes, he did. He's an intern on Sharon's defense team.
September 29, 201114 yr Member I'm at a loss as to why viewers think Vail Bloom is so awesome in the role when Heather was always such a dead and insignificant character in the best of times. I'm sure Judy Blye Wilson will go through her roster of AMCers first. Does anyone fit the bill? This comment makes me think that this was one of the roles Alicia was offered but turned down. I could totally see Y&R and Days offering her something. Edited September 29, 201114 yr by Skin
September 29, 201114 yr Member Vail Bloom got better with time and had a lot of chemistry with Chris Engen. She also had some zest on a show full of shockingly asexual women in that age range. I see no point in recasting Heather. The character is, as with all characters under this regime, totally worthless.
