While I'm in the minority, I really enjoyed today's episode.

Sorry to toot my own horn, but I just wanted to point out the fact that despite all my negativity (which understandably upsets many people), I can be positive sometimes.

Easily the only watchable part yesterday!

Even though Zach confessed, Ryan & Greenlee were madder at David.whistling.jpg

It's killing me too!

We've known that for about a month. Apparently, it was when she was older and Griffin was working for David. Her cancer returned and David found a doctor to treat her. Last month, Ryan discovered Cara's name on David's list of Orpheus patients and showed Griff, which led in part to Griff no longer working for him.

It just shows what an inept cop Jesse is that he couldn't stop Ryan from knocking him down and running away. If David did that, he would be charged with assaulting a police officer.jeal0002.gif

ICAM about Zach and Ryan. Hopefully, neither will join the internet version!

Yeah, it seems obvious and stupid for the promo to tease there's a "corpse" when it's all faked.

You bring up several excellent points that sadly the show isn't addressing.

It's definitely punishment for those of us who hated them!

I hope Broderick and Agnes discuss the network ending after the show is off ABC to so we can learn just how much of this they came up with. It seemed to start after the prior writing team had left. My best guess is they wanted to end the show by bringing back a bunch of "dead" characters and reuniting them with their loved ones, explaining that David had saved them all. Then when the show was picked up by Prospect Park, that story had to change. I wonder if Frons had a hand in any of this since it feels like his stuff.

I hope it's not the last time we see her too!

Does anyone get what David meant when he told Erica he was trying to help her by sending her on the wild goose chase to LA? Could he be behind the movie offer?

LMFAO, yes that was great. I have no idea what the whole conversation was ultimately about, but I think David is going to be saving someone soon...could be La Kane herself this time.

I would have hung up on her, and I love her. He must really have something up his sleeve to have dealt with that.laugh.png

I thought most of the show Friday was pretty good...aside from one ..one-note idiot barking orders incoherently like the dog he is.

David was spectacular as always.

Ryan knocking Jesse over and running his little ass off was a lol moment. BTW ....Um why would he have to do that?? Just say "NO Jesse I don't want to go to the station with you". Was he under arrest again?? That was a bit of a WTF for me...but it made me laugh so oh well.

Opal & Sam make me smile. They are nice together. Loved their scenes with Erica.....wish we could get some of just the two of them. Their scenes earlier in the week with Verla were hilarious but I want a few of just the two of them!! *fingers crossed*

I can't believe we only have 10 episodes left!!!! NOOOOOOOO! *jams sobs* and the Thug Brute is there to tarnish them....NOOOOOOOOO *jams blows nose and sobs more*

OMGosh I'll second that F U!!! And to think I really thought he couldn't be anymore unlikable annoying mean abusive and stupid!!! My hate-o-meter sprung it's springs with this brute pig.

He is so damn annoying with his stupid nonsensical mumbling mouth!! What a one note joke bully tyrant brooding loser & pig of a character!!! Why does he play EVERY scene and moment the same way??? The constant brooding is so annoying!!!!! Why is he even back????.... he adds NOTHING to the story....nothing to the show. No nix that... he adds confusion abuse hate and my high blood pressure. I can't stand that stupid twit Kendall either but I even feel horrible for her! Is she still laying in bed waiting for ThugDaddy to return? Drop this pig, Kendall, and go for the man that really cares respects and loves you...Griffin. Leave the abusive domineering old stinky lingering fart behind.

Thanks for letting me get that out of my system. I have to flush out the Zach hate weekly or it will drive me crazy!!!!!!

And lol add me to the can't stand JohnO' list......pompous ....annoying.....arrogant....crybaby. Hmmmmm reminds me of somebody else............

That was divine hilarity.........Dr. Dave knows not to hang up on LaKane!!! Loved it!

I swear, AMC missed the boat big time by only letting David and Erica interact every now and then. VI and SL are so good together. And David and Erica react to each so perfectly. The dynamic between them is so twisted, irrational, a bit sick...but it works and in a really odd way, makes sense. I'm going to miss it. :(

All that was going through my head throughout the Ryan/Zach/Greenlee/David nonsense was "WTF" and "Thank god Kendall isn't apart of any of this." Seriously WTH just happened? Waste of time, pure awfulness.

I had to pause and LMAO for 3 minutes straight when Ryan lunged Jessie over in the park. laugh.png That was ridiculous comedy

David and Cara are going at lightning speed but I just love them. Thursday's show when they were bonding at the park, laying down in the grass? AMAZING SCENES. That is the most relaxed & fun I've seen David in a long time. VI and LH looked like they thoroughly enjoyed doing those scenes. I just love them together. I love the pregnancy twist, this is the perfect set-up for a story for Cara on AMConline. I hope her and VI continue with AMC. I'd love to see David finally start to settle down a bit and be redeemed as he gets ready to bring a child into the world with Cara. Not totally revert from being evil, ;-), but take it down a notch.

The thing that's missing for me with David and Cara, is build up. Right now, they haven't been through anything. She rode his dick once, and now it's supposed to be love? IMO David pairings need build up to be successful. David and Erica made sense and worked because of the build up too. The same for David and Anna. David and Dixie could have worked, because there was build up there, AMC just chose to crap on David/Erica and Tad/Dixie in the process of David and Dixie.

David and Krystal and David and Amanda didn't work because they just happened and when the ish got bad, those women were like WHOA who the heck is this guy? Where as Erica and Anna knew EXACTLY who they were dealing with. I see Cara following in Krystal and Amanda's footsteps. I hope I'm wrong, but as soon as David does something David--something she's shocked by--she'll go running and she'll take that kid with her.

I could like them with buildup but I am so not a fan of these pregnancy stories. We are in 2011 people. Cara is educated, intelligent, and a doctor. In what world do women like this accidently get pregnant. I get people love accidental pregnancies on soaps and WTD: stories but to me its a total copout and a cheap tactic. They could have had Cara and DAvid working together and bonding on the show or even on the new AMC through trying to bring back Griffin or any number of non lazy repeated soap cliches. NOT A FAN. I thought Amandas cancer story was wonderful and a step in a positive direction.

But what do I know. Maybe the showrunners are right and viewers don't care about the buildup anymore and feel its just filler and unnecessary as they move from one plot point to another.

I actually liked David and Greenlee a lot and was disappointed that they dropped the potential for that pairing for another round of ryan and greenlee. And Ryan and Madison were also the most interesting pairing Ryan had since Gillian

    • Given the weird fantasies/out of town barn trips she does for Reva/Kyle, I can't see it either. (Not to mention Kyle's obsessive talking to paintings, or Billy's nightmares.)
    • She would be great, but I of course am thinking of her in What's Love Got to Do with It.
    • Agreed that they had a home in the present tense of the first set of episodes.  But I was wondering if they lived in the mansion in the past when Sophia disappeared, and moved out when Santana got pregnant?  Or even when Danny was born.
    • According to the French Santa Barbara site the Andrades had a house in the early episodes.  I thought I remembered scenes in their home. The Andrade house
    • I always wondered if the Andrades lived at the Capwell Mansion?  Certainly they could've had a living room in their space or wherever they went on days off. But, I felt like it was never clear whether Santana visited Rosa when Kelly and Eden were young, or if she actually lived in the servant's quarters (one hopes modern developers have found a euphemism for that space).  I always imagined that Rosa, Santana, and Reuben lived with CC up until Channing was murdered, and then they found their own place because the kids were mostly over 18 (and Santana was pregnant). I like the idea of Rueban and CC being close until Santana got pregnant.  And then Reuben would've hated the adoption of Brandon.  Which would have meant he hated CC, and would've only continued to work for him to try to get info on whatever happened to his grandson. With regard Ava Lazar, having recently rewatched the pilot for the millionth time, I find her captivating to watch, but her line delivery is so dull. She looks amazing, and I just want her to be more quick witted.
    • I liked the original 4 family set up.  The families were all different from each other and were intertwined.  They should have been given equal airtime. I felt that Lockridges were perfectly cast with the exception of Laken.  She should have been quickly recast.   I liked all 4 of the actors cast as the Andrades and wish they would have been given better writing.  I really thought Ava Lazar (Santana) would have been one of the breakout stars if she had not been replaced. My only issue with the casting of the Perkins family was Robert Alan Browne as John and as much as I liked Mark Arnold he was the wrong actor to recast Joe Perkins. And of course it was ridiculous how badly they screwed up the casting of CC. The other Capwells were well cast.
    • This late 1976 stuff doesn't sound as bad as it has in other versions I've read (weekly recaps from Jon-Michael Reed and SOD synopses). I am surprised that there is a variation of Ian - Meg - Arlene - Tom playing out this late in the game, but it doesn't sound half bad. Ian's involvement with Beaver Ridge and how it impacts Rick and Cal's future also intrigued me  more than I expected. Even the Carrie - Betsy connection having Carrie watch Suzanne while Ben is visiting was a nice surprise. I feel like this all falls apart pretty quickly with the arrival of Mia Marriott, Michael Blake, and a slew of other half baked characters under Upton.
    • Too bad she ended up on Y&R. Actress Valarie Pettiford might've been "Sharon" because she sings too and does it pretty well.

    • @NothinButAttitude thanks for sharing the rough draft. I had bought "Shadows on the Wall" from Kathryn Leigh Scott's website probably 20+ years ago. It's a fascinating read into a very different version of what the show could have been.
    • @Efulton That's the quote I was refering to. In the bible, at almost the beginning, Rueben and C.C. were compared as being similar as two fathers wanting everything for their children, or something along those lines. I do think the Andrades were intended to have more of a role, but they never even garnered a family set (just Santana's apartment). In 1991, they added the Capwell kitchen which seemed to be a domestic space for Rosa, but clearly not solely Rosa's. I feel like I remember Rosa confronting Santana about her feelings for C.C. being an attempt to recreate her grand fantasy with Channing, Jr. in the kitchen, but more likely that was the bedroom Santana was redecorating (C.C.'s master suite) utilizing the designsshe had envisioned for herself and Channing, Jr.
