SOD: Corday Interview

Well, Ken certainly said all the write things in that interview. Hopefully the show follows through. I'm glad SOD asked about the gay story & we finally got confirmation from the show since they still hadn't confirmed it and that it's still going forward. Hopefully whatever changes they made it to, it was for the better.

We shall see. It sounds good. I hope rafe, Dario, and Gabbi along with Mel are the ones leaving. Can't wait for Mid August.

I can do with out John and Marlena. I would love to see Shawn and Belle back.

Toups when you said kristen do you mean as in Blake? Played by who?

How many times have we heard the EP or the writers say this?!

Watch he won't even deliver on half on these things.

And he thinks he can get AMC viewers? I know many people who watch AMC said they are done after AMC is off the air.

I would love to see Kristen Blake back on the show, and i see a story with EJ, but i only want her back with Eileen playing her.

If Brandon Beemer is out at B&B, and Martha Madison having a great time at GH, i could see them both retuning in a storyline involving Chloe!

I also would love to see Christie Clark and Austin Peck back on the show...

And to be honest I would love to see Terri Conn on Days, i loved her on ATWT as Katie!

In my opinion , who are leaving are: Gabi, Taylor and Carly (I dont like that exit), and I think Rafe could be out (Lucas in this storyline would have been far more interesting). I don't want to see Dario and Melanie leaving because I like those 2 together, but if Gabi and Rafe are leaving I think he will be as well. Vivian is in danger as well.

Who are save, i guess: Jack, Jennifer, Abby, Daniel (for now), Hope, Bo, Roman, Lexie, Abe, EJ, Nicole, Brady, Victor, Maggie, Stefano, Chad (him and Abby give Jennifer a story as well because of history), Chloe, Kate, Sami

Oh and I think the future of soaps is depending on recurring actors. They dont have to pay them when they dont have a story, and can be used if there is a way to involve them.

I think Carly is out because we are getting more Justin and Adrienne because of there son returning. I think we will see more of Carly on recurring, if she wants that.

Cynthia Preston has the look, but Maura West has the chops. The problem is, Kristin was Kristin because of Eileen Davidson. I just don't see how it could work.

Sigh, a return of John and Marlena, why DAYS, why?! Such progress had been made.

I dont think 5 or 6 people coming back is going to help...

Why should we care for Jack/Jennifer and Marlena/John when we havent seen them in years...?

Ok Jennifer is something different, she's almost back one year. But what's the return of Marlena/John helping the show? What story will the be in? The same Stefano storyline, what didnt work last time? They need to bring Kristen back first... and then a few monts later they can bring Marlena/John back because of the history. I reallty dont get it, im curious at what they are up 2.

I want BB and MM back too, especially Martha! As for Carrie and Austin - only if Austin is played by Patrick Muldoun. Kill Austin off, Carrie returns to Salem, falls for a bad guy, then Austin returns played by PM. :)

    • A--I wish someone would post a better vid of the entire ball, as it must be out there. And B--nope. Evie is only in a small segment of the ball with Phillip, Rick and Mindy. She doesn't dance at all. Ross dances with Helena and Amanda. I'm not even sure why Evie is at the ball---Vanessa heartily disliked her. I did see that Billy actually asked Henry to introduce him to Vanessa, which I hadn't realized.
    • Honestly, they should've ordered more of 2000 Malibu Road for the 1992-93 midseason and aired it when Knots went on a break. That was probably their best shot.    Then of course they fumbled Central Park West by airing it in the 9PM slot instead of a 10PM slot where it would've been away from the Fox dramas. CPW got its best rating by airing randomly on a Sunday and when it was taken off the air for a "re-tooling", Party of Five's ratings actually had a spike, so clearly they were feeding off each other. But being a smaller network focused on a certain demographic, Fox could afford to be patient Party of Five, CBS couldn't...
    • Agree on Bruce Gray as Owen; they needed to cast star power. He was too lightweight against Kim and he had no chemistry with Frances Fischer except more gay buddy or daddy figure.  I loved Nola and Eliot together though. Lee Godart should have been longer term.
    • Andre has the worst fashion of the males which is off putting for someone as fine as he is. His jackets and sweaters look dated and no vintage does not work for him
    • I don’t recall MSW having a toy line in the late 80’s or early 90’s like all those Saturday morning cartoons did LOL but thought this was cute when I saw it in a vintage toy store yesterday:

    • Copying and pasting pasting this here as to not to derail the KL thread lol Wow I forgot CBS actually did try multiple attempts to come up with a soapy replacement for Knots on Thursday nights in the 10/9 slots for the 93-94 season.   Angel Falls had promise but CBS didn’t give it a fair chance. Latham’s Second Chances got even worse ratings than Angel Falls and wasn’t given a second chance when the Northridge quake destroyed the show’s sets. One West Waikiki looked gorgeous but was a blink you missed it affair. Finally we got Hotel Malibu, a quasi follow-up to Second Chances that stayed as the summer replacement series it was. CBS switched gears and had Chicago Hope air in the slot…against ER. It made the Top 30 but obviously underperformed below expectations. CBS gave up, and gave us 48 Hours for years there. It wasn’t until the 2002-03 season when CBS finally produced a Top 20 show for that spot with Without A Trace against an aging ER.
    • Of course I join in on wishing that Peacock & Corday & Sony would all together come to the conclusion that NOW would be a fine time to put some of these gems in the archive on full display!!! But, at the same time I'd like to give kudos to the fact that behind the scenes they've been doing the great work of preservation by taking tapes, etc. & converting them to modern digital formats. Besides the important fact of preserving them it means they are ready to go!
