Just once I want someone to yell at Madge for ripping them off by dipping their hands in dish soap and calling it a manicure.

Also, is that Y&R's Nikki Reed's dance partner Cash coming to visit Jenny? John Gibson, the OG Chippendale's dancer who dated Vanna White and died in a plane crash?

LOL!

He sure does LOOK like John Gibson.  And I know his IMDb profile says he was on OLTL in '83.  But I can't be sure.

This opened a weird can of worms.

John Gibson did indeed play Joe Hawk in 1983, he told Jenny that he was a friend of her late husband Peter but really he was spying on David

However, from 1991-1992 OLTL had another character named Joe Hawk, who was a friend of Max and was involved in Serenity Springs.

Two Joe Hawks?!?

OLTL also had two characters named Laudine (the name of a writing staff member). The first Laudine was played by my bud Constance Wu, everyone go see her movie this weekend.

I loved Arlene Dahl (who recently had her 93rd birthday) on One Life to Live! I think that of the stars who came to daytime television, her contribution to One Life to Live was the very best! (I especially hated Eileen Heckhart as Ruth Perkins - and, later, the show hired and dismissed her in the role of Mrs. Bourne.)

This has nothing to do with the above, but I just learned that actor Joshua Cox (one of the many actors to play Dr. Danny Woleck - he was originally hired to play Jamie Sanders, but Paul Rauch told them to switch roles at the last minute) has changed his stage name to Josh Coxx. I think that sounds similar to some of the pornographic actors.

One more comment:  John Gibson appeared in the movie The Warriors.   One of the stars of that film, Roger Hill, later came to One Life to Live and played Roger Lownes, the football player for Llanview football team (which I was sure that Asa owned) and was in love with Carla.

    • BITD I was posting about how interesting it was that Denise had been with this same guy for simply years but they just did not marry - then that year they married!
    • Random takes from this week: - Bill’s been played way too soft by the actor. I just can’t buy him doing anything truly sinister. I wish he had more of that old-school Victor Newman edge. - On characterization: I’m fine with Leslie being shown as a narcissistic and cruel mother—as long as she doesn’t tip into full cartoon villain territory. Dani’s involvement in Nicole’s storyline feels natural to me, and I really like that Martín is such a hothead, which totally clashes with his polished political career. No wonder no one wants to confide in him. Also, I don’t mind Haley’s characterization at all. - I’m still annoyed they dropped the whole lawsuit storyline. That’s why I’m a bit hesitant about getting too invested in the June plot. Also: I can do without another instant-sibling storyline. - Ashley and Derek? Totally fine with them in small doses. That’s the best way to handle those two. - Thank God Ted is getting recast. I honestly couldn’t handle that constant swaying much longer. - Speaking of Ted: maybe I’m in the minority here, but that hotel set is hideous. The oversized boiserie makes everything look flat, and that artwork on the wall? Bland, ugly, and lifeless. - I’m 50/50 on the product placement. On one hand, it’s totally misplaced and campy—especially when it shows up in the middle of emotional scenes. It just feels wrong. But on the other hand… here we are talking about Febreze and Tide. So maybe it is working? I honestly don’t know. - I don’t have any issues with the fashion on the show overall, but André’s wardrobe is just off. Not in terms of style, but size. His tops are way too tight and actually make him look even shorter than he is. Same goes for Smitty. Both of them would seriously benefit from some larger blazers or chunkier sweaters.
