AMC and OLTL Canceled!

I thought those episodes were kind of heavy-handed, but probably better than anything on TV now (and Abrams Star Trek seems to have gone into the type of demeaning tokenism Roddenberry didn't do).

Very very nice! Preview of La Lucci on Jay Leno!

jayleno Jay Leno

Tonight: @Susan_Lucci tells Jay that the cast of #AllMyChildren is working hard to give fans a gift w/ great storylines

Agnes Nixon has been welcomed back in to writing her own show and we’re going out with the hands we came in on, the ones the audience loves.

I don't care about seeing any of those together. James/Starr and Jolie are awful, and Clint and Viki are not the same without Clint Ritchie.

The only couple on OLTL I want to see together and happy (which is a relative term, as far as these two are concerned) are John and (not?)Todd. Otherwise? Couldn't. Care. Less.

And have OLTL canceled years ago? Staying under budget probably saved OLTL from being cancelled when AMC was sent to LA. I'm pretty confident that FV liked having a job over being on the unemployment line. Ask Chris Goutman, etc.

I'm sure he enjoyed having a job, I just question if all of the reported cost and time cuts were worth the sweat (and tears?). I'm of a mind that OLTL would have coasted regardless until ABC had its ducks in order with a suitable replacement. Maybe if Aisha's pilot didn't suck it would have happened sooner.

Stop me if you've heard this one...

How bad was AMC? Why, it was so bad, it brought down OLTL, too!

Get it? GET IT?

Nice seeing La Lucci is getting press out of the cancellation. She is the Phoenix that never goes into ashes, just keeps on rising. She does look great, though her neck... In any case, she is a stunning woman for her age. Notice that La Lucci is the only soap actor that is getting the big time mainstream media attention, the woman has built a hell of a career given that she is a barely passable soap actor. Go Susan!

You just described anything from ME and TSJ over the last 3-4-5 years.

I was trying to think of any couple I wanted to get back together and there are none. The only one would be Natalie/Cris, and that's never going to happen.

I realize Susan Lucci will be linked forever to Erica Kane and AMC...but you know...maybe it's b/c I love that gal so darned much, but I've this hunch she just might surprise us yet, acting-wise.

She's never been a great actress, but I will say that her work for a lot of 1995-1997 and parts of 2003 was better than almost anything I've seen on soaps in recent years, with a few exceptions.

She was dreadful on Dallas.

To be fair, though, it was DALLAS's final season; much of the cast was dreadful to watch by that point; and Sheila Foley/Hillary Taylor was hella confusing.

Susan Lucci as Sheila Foley: One false move and she's dead!!

Patrick Duffy: Bug eyed....

So we're blaming Lucci for Duffy's bad acting? Really?
