Imagine the mood at the emmy's wow, very somber I bet. I bet they won't even get a tribute

they will be lucky if anyone shows up. I wouldnt be surprised if large amounts of people from AMC and OLTL decide to not attend in protest.

"That was by design, said Frons, noting that he was following advice by his former boss at NBC Brandon Tartikoff not to go for shows others already have on."

stupid little bastard! soaps are counter-programming for everything else that is on the 500 channels we have.

Bobbie Eakes needs to go back to B&B as Macy! For reals. I loved her on there. Not so much on AMC.

I agree. Even though we no longer have Darlene, we need some Spectras back on that show.

I still can't get over how little time AMC has to wrap up. Ideally they would trash some of the completed scripts that are in the pike but yet-to-be produced. That would buy them a couple more weeks at least. But I guess that's not really feasible.

Ugh! JR's happily-ever-after will be Marissa finally agreeing to reunite with him, because there's really no time for anything else. Tad will end up with Cara, because there is no time for anything else. I like Tad & Cara, but as the ultimate finale to Tad's almost 40-year arc, it doesn't feel right. Even if Josh Duhamel agreed to come back to usher Greenlee off they wouldn't do it because they wouldn't allow Ryan to be alone at the end, and there's no time for anything else.

Tad dying and being reunited with Dixie in heaven may be somewhat of a more plausible ending for Tad.... there is not near the time left to pull of a retcon of Dixie's death.... they have had 4+ years to do that already.

I imagine the ending aside from maybe a few returns of legacy characters won't do the show justice at all.... but the "show" that we are talking about has not existed in quite some time, so makes sense. Erica will no doubt be in the final scene, Joe should be too... maybe looking through a photo album?

I feel terrible for everyone who are losing their jobs and the fans, but in a very nostalgic, sentimental way, I feel most sorry for Agnes. Her two "babies" axed the same day. She sold these shows to ABC years ago and she probably has been detached from these shows for years, so and I'm probably projecting my own feeling of loss onto her, but still, no matter how detached she may be, it can't be entirely easy to have her two "babies" cut down on the same day.

That [!@#$%^&*] is going to make JOKES now? You should pre-enter the witness protection program you prick. Not only did you kill two soaps, you know damn well you killed Agnes Nixon a little bit today, too.

I hope both of these shows flop like a wet [!@#$%^&*] and Frons has to explain this in 6 months when Anne Sweeney fires his ass.

I know I'm obviously biased, but neither show sounds like something people will tune in daily, let alone DVR. I mean even moire so than The Talk and Let's Make a Deal which as crappy as I find them, I genuinely could see some people getting hooked on. The Chew (seriously, is this an SNL skit? Some new View spin off for Star Jones?) and Revolution both seem like the kind of thing that people truly would have on in the background even more than soaps, if that. But if they want a cooking show wouldn't they just watch a better one on Food Network? etc...

Toups just posted that OLTL beat GH in Total Viewers this week in the ratings......lol And GH is the safe one.

I like Tad & Cara, but as the ultimate finale to Tad's almost 40-year arc, it doesn't feel right.

Cara goes on the run with Griffin.

Final episode Tad opens the front door & there's Dixie.

Even if Josh Duhamel agreed to come back to usher Greenlee off they wouldn't do it because they wouldn't allow Ryan to be alone at the end, and there's no time for anything else.

Greenlee goes into Witness Protection with Leo.

Ryan does a Jason Morgan & chases after a Gillian double.

These shows will get 500,000 max.

The Biggest Loser is a WEEKLY PRIMETIME show, that is LOSING viewers. IF people dont want to watch it ONCE a week at night...WHY would they want to watch it FIVE DAYS A WEEK when they're not even home?

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

While I can't believe that Agnes liked a lot of what's gone on at AMC (and don't buy that she did any ghostwriting like some fans think of better moments), she actually does seem quite aware of the show still in a pretty constant capacity--and even more to my surprise of OLTL to an extent too. She also seemed genuinely hopeful that the move to LA would save AMC for a while. I think it really must be upsetting.

in other words, not gonna happen :(

Pretty much.

If Lesli Kay can't get a decent story from Brad nobody can.

Hey maybe my idea of spinning off AMC as a primetime sitcom isnt such a bad idea now! LOL

And FINALLY rid B&B of the last of the horrible Marones.
