April 1 is GH's premiere date same with the late soap opera The Doctors.

Posting this on a Friday though and April 1 is cruel, as there will be no news until next week. If both shows go at the same time, I do think that this will hurt GH as some will just turn the network off completely.

GH won't last a year, that is who should be canceled it costs the most money. Why don't they just announce it?

I think this is an April Fool's joke on Logan's part.

The soap critics absolutely love OLTL and it would be just like Logan or any of the others to say "All My Children AND One Life to Live are about to be canceled"...."Just kidding! April Fools! Don't worry guys, OLTL ain't going anywhere. It's just AMC".

So let's get this straight.... according to Logan the decision to cancel AMC has been made, now they are considering canceling OLTL as

well. Are they idiots? I know they are, but I never thought they were this stupid! So they will piss off two fan bases and taking a huge risk launching a talkshow and a reality show at the same time? This isn't CBS where the viewers there are so old they'll watch anything!!! the seniors watch CBS thats why it was no big deal when GL was replaced by a gameshow and ATWT a talkshow. The viewers at ABC wont necessarily watch whatever Frons puts on, that only works at CBS Daytime. I can see canceling 1 soap to try something new, but canceling 2 at the same time is suicidal for the network.

I've never seen TV Gudie do April Fools jokes and I don't see ML doing one especially once that would make him lose all credibility.

I think they believe GH is its own brand and that this means more money will go to GH. I think that it will probably hurt GH in the long run but then GH is so dessicated that nothing will help anyway, aside from new writers and producers, which won't happen.

I thought about Agnes too but I don't think she will be too surprised by this.

Some brand. ValueJet was a brand too.

Frons doesn't give a [!@#$%^&*]? Well, color me surprised. [/sarcasm]

There is no way in HELL this is true. And, if it is. I'm gonna pitch a b!tch.

BTW, isn't this one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse?

This is just so disheartening, and if it is true, I wish they'd just announce it and give a final air date.

Selena, I believe it's true in some aspect, but I think one soap will go, then like 6 months later or something the other will be gone

They probably see the shows are just about down to nothing and assume either those viewers will watch anything or that the viewers are unworthy and they don't want them watching the new shows anyway.

I know Angie. I just keep going 'Lalalalalalala. I cannot hear you Frons' over and over again in my head.:(

I've wondered that for weeks. And people have been scoffing at me left and right saying, "OLTL is under budget" "OLTL test well in focus groups" "OLTL has legs to stand on" etc. but this makes total sense to me. Both are going, but not right this minute. One will get six months, and on will get a year. I was convinced before it would be AMC with the 6 months and OLTL with the year...but at this point, all bets are off.
