Y&R: April Discussion Thread

I don't think he looks great. I would take him for about 70. His skin is not good at all.

Also, I think his age is more glaring because they continue to put him with women that are SO much younger than him. Actually knowing that Eric Braeden is 32 years older than Maura West repulses me a little...or a lot.

For 70, he looks good. But at 70, most (if not all) the patriarchial figures on CBS soaps were long retired from even the thought of hooking up with anyone not age appropriate.

Please. If he had different colored hair -- If he had white or gray hair, he'd definitely look more the 70 year old he is. But, I guess it's something that he's kept fit. Being trim makes him look oh, I dunno, 65...

He was 31 yrs old when Maura was born!!!!!!!! I know, I know. I have to get over it...(but I still don't have to like it)

he looks more like a creepy old pervert in those pics. I feel sorry for the women that have to make out with him

Isn't Joe Mascolo from DAYS in his early 80's and looks ten times better than Braeden..It's sad that this show is so bad, we're more interested in talking about EBs age and looks.

I can't believe TIIC actually think anyone GAF about Sharon's azz being on trial. And LOL at "the trial of the century" having THREE interested spectators.

I wish Diane had more to do than prod Victor into treating her like wife out of bed. Watching her beg him to pay attention to her is cringeworthy.

I will admit, I got to smirk at Jack getting all bent out of shape because Diane hadn't called him about a sprained wrist. If the dumbass hadn't been mooning over his worthless EX-wife, he could have answered the school's call himself.

Saw this on FB:

Hey Y&R fans! One of our editors is at a photo shoot for an upcoming cover and the pics will be smokin' hot! You'll have to wait until April 19 to see who's on it, but there will be a doozy of a twist in the story!

Which mag?

I wonder what qualifies as a "doozy twist"?? I cringe thinking of the possibilities.

You and me both.

This is my last soap left, I quit watching all of the others, so if this is something too vile/stupid/ridiculous that's really going to be it for me and daytime serials - which would be quite unfortunate (though I'd get over it).

I think Michael Muhney tweeted something about Y&R about to get really crazy or something this summer.

Well, at least he's about to get cuckolded (presumably). I sort of look forward to this.

Gloria and Chloe were funny yesterday, but I felt a little bad for Jana when Gloria told her she had no ties to GC and should go back to England.

Was the therapist who treated Lily yesterday the same one who treated Sharon? I swear she's has been on before.

Yes, Lisa Waltz as Dr. Mason.

That usually means trouble, and some sort of a disappointment in the eyes of the audience. So nothing new, really.
