Macy is a talented actor but honestly I was just waiting for Fiona to say that she can't wait for Frank to die too during their scene together outside the house. That would have been everything, I ever needed from Fiona.

 

This was easily the best season since season 4.

Any time I saw the show in recent years I got the sense he'd checked out long ago. 

He definitely checked out a few seasons ago and the story has gotten quite stale and unbearable overall. I'm glad he's leaving bc they really ran him into a wall. With Fiona leaving too, I feel like this should be the last season but I also just don't want it to go ever !

As cliche as it sounds, the show has been a caricature of itself for several seasons now. I can see why he's done, and I hope it ends soon.

It took a while for it to catch some mainstream popularity, and I think that's what helped it last longer than it needed to, but as it got bigger, it got dumber.

Unfortunately.  I also think it was a mistake to make it seem so easy for Fiona to break the cycle of poverty. Investing in real estate? Gee, why don't more people in poverty think of that.
