You'd think if Sharon was going to have the balls to tell Nick, Nikki and Victor to shove it, the scene would have gone on a little longer than it did.

I know technically she's justified, but her arrogance makes her completely unsympathetic in this circumstance.

I'm talking about having a story that doesn't involve Chloe at all. It seems like the only way Heather can be into a guy is if Chloe had him first.

Not to mention her stupidity. It doesn't help that she sometimes looks like she doesn't know where she's at looks.

I think the initial Chloe/Chance/Heather stuff was deliberate but since then I think they've tried to move her away from Chloe. They dropped Chloe/Ronan quickly and haven't gone back. I guess I can see why their fans might be upset, but then, all I remember with Chloe/Ronan was a gawping maw of anti-chemistry, like most of Chloe's romantic pairings.

I just hate what they made Nina's story into, but what can I expect? I guess I should be happy they even bothered to give her a scene.

Everything with Ronan is so boring.

That's the joke of Sharon finding "independence" and so on - this story has nothing to do with her. It's still all about the waving dicks.

I feel bad for the fans who watched back in the 80's and waited for this story to be revisited only to end up with a whimper of a story. It doesn't help that Branson looks like he may bolt at any minute.

My inner 12 year old always laughs at the waving dicks.

Branson was poor casting. He is much too low-energy for this type of role, and he just seems lost.

There was no reason for this story. Just as there was no reason to bring back Patty. This weird assault on history is both lazy and counterproductive.

I agree the scene should have been longer but I think she's more defiant, not arrogant. I like her chemistry with Adam but Maria needs to play ALL beats in this storyline instead of white washing everything Adam did to make them more palpable. Where the hell is Ashley in this storyline? If Sharon wants to be with Adam then truly deal with the repercussions instead of everyone telling her she's stupid and none of them can claim any moral high ground. That's the problem. We have Niki casting stones but she also cheated and is involved with greasy Deacon. Nick should be justifiably upset but it's not being shown where he's actually terrified that Adam will be in Faith's life because he's too busy screwing Diane and acting like he's morally superior. Since Adam is shown to be no threat to Faith, his outrage comes off as more like a bruised ego. And of course there's Victor - who's completely unlikeable in this storyline with all his lies and machinations involving Skye's "death".

No man on a Sheffer written project would ever be "terrified" of anything, save their child at death's doorstep. That said, I think it is clear Nick's reaction isn't about a bruised ego, but about how he can't trust Sharon anymore, period. Nor IMO, should he.

I think Sharon's arrogant. She's running around town telling everyone to bugger off, lecturing them (even Ash) that they're "no better" than Adam. Arrogant, delusional, and just plain CRAZY sums it up to me.

That is a funny scene and then he just comes into the restaurant cold and calculating to look at him

in the pink bathrobe you'd never guess he's so cunning great acting by Tristan.

I think this is interesting as for Kevin/Chloe/Jana but Chloe acts like a teen sometimes for me

she's acting rather immature in this particular storyline. I liked how Abby told Daniel to get

his itsky together and took a hike until he did but here is Chloe throwing popcorn in a theatre

it just seemed silly to me for some reason.

Well put, Carl!

Thing is the Patty story had potential thanks to casting and finally giving Doug Davidson some storyline again. That Ronan story just sucks; they took great characters like Nina/Cricket came up with a lame-o story, ruined one of Y&R greatest stories from the 80s and what we got out of it is Ronan & Eden Beagle!? Sorry this just is :

This!

Lately, more times than not, I feel that the non writers are channeling the late Reilly from beyond. Nothing makes sense, so we have to sit back why the characters try and tell us why it does. This show reeks, and Sharon can't be more arrogant if she tried. She needs to move her high and mighty slutty ass off that ranch!

I thought the Patty story started off good enough but got ruined bc the show didnt know how to friggin end it. It just got ridiculous and they kept trying to come up with excuses to keep her around even if doing so meant ruining other characters in the process

The only thing good about this Ronan storyline was that scene the other day. When Nina was in his room.

I can't remember the words, but it was her speech saying something like "I can't save you! I can't! But don't give up, let me be here for you1" Obviously, it was MUCH better than that...But Tricia just puts SO much into her scenes, no matter the crappy the writing is...And her emotion actually moved me to tears.

EDIT: Okay, I found the scene.

The scene starts at 3:30, but it gets really emotional at 5:15.....ONLY Tricia Cast could save this storyline. She is just so...real. She's just outstanding.

    • That was weird how the fans were saying Kat should be a detective, and it shows up in the script the very next day.
    • Well....gotta have ducks.  lol
    • YES!  Glad it worked out - now Leslie is with Eva and Kat with her Dad. And they didn't have to rearrange the other opening at all.
    • Sad to hear that Joe Don Baker has passed away. I loved the original version of Walking Tall and I've seen it multiple times. I remember watching it for the very first time at 13-years-old at my grandparents' house and being so enraptured by the film. At least he lived a pretty good and long life and he had a very solid and memorable career, so there's that. I hope he rests in peace.
    • Seeing Guza and Julie Hanan names on my TV screen just takes me back to high school. Sweet memories. I know the feeling.  I am finally jumping on the bandwagon about Leslie not being Eva's mother.

that was fast! And I love that he's still next to Leslie, Kat and Eva   at least she does her laundry!
    • Carter and Daphne can both be written out; I caught the end because I’m off work.     Thank god for everything you did for Hope, Carter.  The way she - as an Attorney / realized Ridhe nor Eric, nor anyone ever checks Hope’s paperwork because she’s such a trusted attorney.  What a terrible thing and idea and you Carter, you tried to talk her out of it at first but then as she bulled forward - yep, you backed it.     Oh wait.  Totally opposite — YOUUU were the attorney with the idea.     that is so unbelievably dumb. What is the point?
    • Oh yeah, definitely! I actually like this storyline because it's very realistic and we are definitely starting to see the cracks in Ashley and Derek's relationship. I also like that they are finally starting to develop Ashley as a character and putting her in scenes with her mom Jan also helps a lot. I'm not so sure about Ashley and Andre as a couple though and I'm also still sort of on the fence about Andre/Dani too. Maybe if the writers continue to flesh out Ashley as a character and give her a real purpose outside of Derek and Jan I might eventually warm up to them as a couple if the writers actually intend for them to be a real thing long term. I'm not entirely convinced that Andre/Dani are in it for the long haul and I feel like they should have kept Andre as a womanizing lothario because at least he would have something of a personality.
    • One of the main traits of a Type A personality is ambition/competitiveness. That's not Ashley.
