Kristen Blake (Days of Our Lives) - From upstanding heroine to devious villainess.

Barbara Ryan (As the World Turns) - From good girl/victim to bad girl, back to good, then bad again and finally more good than bad.

Adam Munson (As the World Turns) - Good kid inexplicably turned into would-be-rapist, something the show later tried to gloss over.

Bobbie Spencer (General Hospital) - Villainess turned into lead heroine.

Donna Logan (The Bold and the Beautiful) - Originally more of a girl-next-door type, after recast turned into femme fatale. (And a poor replica of her much more interesting older sister)

Donna Love went from being a delicious conniver under Anna Stuart to a whining victim under Philiece Sampler. NOT a smooth transition. I shudder to think what would have happened to my Donna had Anna Stuart not returned in 1989.

Liza Colby - delicious bitch with a heart but with more instincts for power, Martinized and turned into a "good" person with baby rabies

Katherine Chancellor - bitter alcoholic, a desperate woman who would do anything, possibly even murder, to maintain her delusions...turned into the town saint, never a bad word to be said

Diane Jenkins - a smart, neurotic businesswoman turned into a forgettable cheerleader, now turned into a woman with no business skills and who has little purpose beyond giving Phyllis story and letting us see yet again what a "stud" Tucker is.

Billy Newman (I don't see the point of calling him Abbott) - a bratty but generally decent guy who loved his family, turned into a smirky, sociopathic manwhore, a deadbeat father who has nothing but contempt for his family

Emily Stewart - a smart young woman who kept making the wrong choices but who was cool and in control, turned into a shrieking, weeping psychotic who waved the banner for misogynstic stories and went on joyrides with corpses

Jill Foster - a very successful businesswoman and loving member of the Foster family, turned into a bad joke who only got a job on her back, who immediately forgot her mother and brothers as soon as she learned she was actually Lauren's sister

Sharon Newman - a complicated, poor-but-proud woman who tried her best to overcome struggles and shame, now the town whore who will dither and bore her way through one stupid decision after another. Mentally ill when the script cares to remember, shown in such intelligent ways as having her steal a Plenko chip from the Price is Right set.

Chloe whatever her last name is - too many to count

Those bastards at Y&R destroyed my 3 favourites.

GL's Annie Dutton: From innocent nurse to jealous psycho with a long list of criminal activity

GL's Reva Shayne: From slut to saint

DAYS' Phillip Kiriakis: Well-intentioned highschool boy to obsessive stalker boyfriend back to semi-respected gentleman

GL's Beth Raines: From lovable young heroine to obsessive, manipulitive ex-wife back to respectable adult heroine.

I dont think Philip Kiriakis was ever a well intentioned school boy. The boy was SORASed as a bit of a jerk. Spoiled little rich boy who didnt mind causing trouble or being selfish in order to get his way.

B&B:

Taylor Hayes - respected doctor and saint to Brooke 2.0

Days:

Kristen

Marlena

Lexie

Hope

Billie

Nicole

Chloe

All started off as heroines but would eventually have their own stints as bad girls, with some like Kristen and Nicole remaining as villianesses and not reverting back

Did Marlena ever change? All of her changes were based on outside forces, like her being possessed.

She was a self righteous b-tch when Brady was SORASed. Her stank attitude was all her that time with no devil, brain chip or brainwashing to blame it on. With that said, I was actually thinking of her during the serial killing story when I wrote that down before they retconned that entire plot.
