All I know is that Terry Came on around June 1980, and left around September 1989 I believe, Then Eileen Came on June 1982 then left (the first time) either late October/early November 1988 which is When Brenda came on then her last airdate was actually 12/21/95.

Wow! Is that from one of the German episodes that use to be uploaded? There were a bunch of episodes in german on youtube from 1986 to early 1988 and some late 1995 that were deleted a few years back and I'm still kicking myself for not watching them! ....the quality is amazing! (though I loathed the background music they used instead of the real music?....why did they dub it? it sounds more like they are making it a cheap soap "porn" parody)

There used to be a German Y&R website that had a bunch of classic episodes in great quality... you can access it here http://web.archive.org/web/20130622230535/http://schattenderleidenschaft.de/ but all of the links on the youtube page don't work for me and since the videos are private I had no way of accessing them and I had never bothered to download them since they weren't in English. Do you have a list of links to all of the videos? At least now I can potentially contact the uploader since I have his youtube screen name. Hopefully this is the same person that uploaded all of them originally. I am seriously excited because I was so pissed I didn't save them. I actually recently started playing with learning German on the internet just for fun and I was kicking myself because what better way to practice than watching Y&R?

So here’s the weird thing. I clicked on the user’s page to see if he had more Y&R videos … I saw he had some GH, it looked promising… and then I realized his page is all about girls being tied up! LOL!!! And some of those videos look like they might be pretty sexual. And then I realized ALL of his Y&R clips involve women being held hostage (no wonder he has so much GH, that’s all they ever do on that show!). Isn’t that crazy!?? He’s probably not even a Y&R fan! He lists it by the actress name. So he’s just some guy with a fetish. Then HOW does he have all those rare clips?! Are these rare episodes floating around fetish sites, but we regular fans don’t have them? I mean, what the hell, it's the weirdest thing... maybe they were on youtube before and he cut out those parts? He also has some more common stuff like Lauren being tied up by Sheila and Katherine being tied up by Clint.

I want to know where he gets his Y&R but I really would not feel comfortable sending him a message… ? Hahaha. Especially since I'm female, although it's not like he would know that.

Glad you posted the German site link, though we can't see the episodes....I really am kicking myself too for not saving and watching but after seeing that clip above I wonder if most of the reason was because of them not being in English and I must have not liked the dubbed music they used....I don't get why they couldn't get the rights for the regular Y&R tracks.

Thanks for also posting those tied up clips though the one with Cricket and Nina still creeps me out, I just watched the Ashley one for the first time and I didn't think it was all too bad till she started screaming.....I need to find those old 80's recaps to see what the heck is going on....I feel like this is when Ashley had her breakdown but I wonder if it was earlier....I kept waiting for Victor to show up and totally dismantle that crazy dude.....I have to give credit for the Bells always casting these guys to portray horrible, but are also good at being hammy.

I think the problem with the German videos might be that the music and English dialogue were not on separate tracks. In deleting the English to replace it with German, they also had to delete the music, and maybe they didn't have access or care enough about the original music. They probably figured it was a soap so who cares? Little did they know 30 years later we would be talking about it. I know that is an issue with some of the 80s eps of various soaps with pop music playing in the background - you can't just delete the music because then you would lose dialogue.
