Following the news that he and Lorie are siblings Mark coldly tells her they cannot marry, leaving Lorie devastated. Lance had been introduced as an admirer of Leslie as an artist. Leslie's husband Brad won't accompany her to the Dallas concert as he has health concerns (onset of blindness, which he wants to keep from Les) Lance throws the party we see. Lorie and Mark may not really be brother and sister. Imagine if they were to bring Lorie back and played it out. She and Mark being separated for over 40 years.
