Was Tom Degnan's run as Adam Munson always meant to be Short term

Did they ever say where Jade #2 (Davida Williams) went?

Did the show not know how long Alex Chando was gonna stay during her return as Maddie? Her story seemed to have a lot of false starts and Stops

Was her iut of no where exit also doom Evan Alex Cole's run as Hunter?

Maybe Alex will tell us. Spill some TEA!

I think the answers to all your questions ultimately arrive at “Goutman.”  He threw away a lot of characters that didn’t work...and some that did. I liked Hunter. I liked Maddie. I even liked the last Lucy.

You have to pretend all that Adam mess never happened. You have to. There’s no way that Chase Lawlor’s Adam became...that.  Didn’t care much for Casey’s jackassery either.  These were nice boys from a good home. That really happens in the real world, y’all!

So...there’s one thing about hating a particular period of the show and being bitchy about it. I get that; however, when it crosses the line to being offensive, I’ve got to say something.

What, in your opinion, is wrong with “playing gay character after gay character?” As a gay human being, what is you said is one of the most offensive things you could possible say. You’re intimating that there is something wrong with only playing gay characters. Why? Because straight characters are....what exactly? Would you say to the straight actors on the show who have continued to work - Michael Park, for instance: “Hey Michael, what’s up with you only playing straight character after straight character since you left ATWT. I mean, that’s pretty limiting, don’t you think? It also really goes to show you aren’t much of an actor.”

There should be some sort of moderators picking up this offensive crap.

images?q=tbn%3AANd9GcQpFLDWzVF9GEZJet3fIIt wasn't meant to be offensive. Again chill...

I love Tom as Adam. Sad it was too short.

Don't recall second Jade and I had forgotten about Hunter....he was cute.....wasnt he Emily's son? I forgot how this absurd story went down.

The Adam stuff was too much (though I did love Matthew Cavanaugh), but I was totally here for Casey Hughes being a sht. Some of the biggest assholes come from a good home, especially one like the Hughes home, where the illusion was that was they were always on the "right" side of the an issue. The problem is, of course, as always, ATWT had some great, domestic storylines just within reach and refused to jump up and grab them, especially with the teens. The Maddie/Noah/Luke triangle that could have been revolutionary was steamrolled because we needed Luke and Noah to be together Right Away God Dammit. Jade's interloping with Gwen and Will should have been played much better, and Casey as the [!@#$%^&*] Hughes who had a past with Gwen could have finally wiped the slate clean and worked with them to get Jade in check.

The problem is that ATWT stories last for all of a month, maybe a month and a half, back then, unless it was some ridiculous, long, drawn-out, depressing Paul/Emily bullshit.

Casey, Will and Adam were all morphed into characters that seemed better suited for the Shameless TV show on Showtime. There's dysfunction and then there's the Shameless brand of dysfunction and it seemed really discomfiting, considering the roots of those characters.

We're seeing this on the remaining soaps but for some reason, P&G shows like ATWT and GL seemed to be the forerunners for this type of plotting structure.  I'm currently watching GL episodes from the mid 90s and you can really see the point where storyline arcs start to shorten and the storylines start to become inconsequential.

You really need to relax. You're out of control. I already explained. If you're not satisfied with it fine...you don't have to like me or what I say but yelling at me isn't helping.

I feel kinda bad tuning out, especially after stating how important it could be if these livestreams got a lot of clicks but this conversation has got to perk up soon or I'm exiting this livestream. They should've tried to get Zach Roerig and Jessica Dunphy.

    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
    • I don't, since they've clearly incorporated them into Tomas' storyline, and I happen to like his tattoos, but his jackets not fitting doesn't mean they're trying to cover his tattoos. The clothing overall isn't the issue; it's the fit. And I expect(ed) more from Jeresa Featherstone and her team. Very disappointed. He's the only male, overall, whose costume irritates me.
    • "And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask." Very much agreed.  Having Roger hide behind a mask for weeks/months, with it culminating with him swinging in on a vine at Blake/Phillip's wedding....geez.  So juvenile. IMO, Guiding Light never did a good job reintroducing major characters, either from the dead or elsewhere.  Masked balls = awful.  Amish = awful. When Reva was brought back from the dead, she should've just showed up in Springfield as Reva, and informed everyone that she had been gone for years because she felt like it.  She had a four-year fling with some dude who ended up dumping her due to disloyalty. Josh would be pissed and declare that their love is not *always* but *sometimes* and he'd act accordingly.  Her kids would hate her.
    • Agreed. The Emmys next year are gonna be a pretty tough competition and I hope we get a Days sweep lol  Not only does Deidre deserve a nomination for these last few weeks, but I also think Paul Telfer, Raven Bowens, Carson Boatman, Dan Feuerriegel and Alison Sweeney have good chances as well.
    • It’s not about a lack of faith and trust in MVJ, it’s about a a lack of faith and trust in Ron Carlivati, who I think can be very sneaky and manipulative when he wants to be.  And, all that “He’s just a breakdown writer” talk never changed my mind about anything, because at Days, it was “just a breakdown writer” that gave us some of the worst episodes I’ve ever seen.
