March 15, 201412 yr Member Thanks!! She was on AW from 86-87 as Peggy Lazarus, a lawyer. She was also Peter Love's lover. The part was supposed to lead to more but they had a regime change and she vanished. Thanks. That's a shame that the part didn't last long. It would have been cool to see her butt heads with fellow lawyer Cass.
March 23, 201412 yr Member I can't find any press mention of it, but Frances Fisher tweeted this morning that James Rebhorn - so memorable as Bradley Raines on GL and Henry Lange on ATWT, as well as countless prime-time and film appearances – has passed away.
March 23, 201412 yr Member That's sad to hear. He was wonderful in all his soap roles, even the thankless bit at the end of ATWT.
March 23, 201412 yr Member Here's one press mention: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/movies/news/a559543/scent-of-a-woman-star-james-rebhorn-dies-aged-65.html
March 23, 201412 yr Member That's sad to hear. He was wonderful in all his soap roles, even the thankless bit at the end of ATWT. True. So very, very true. Bradley Raines (GUIDING LIGHT) and Henry Lange (ATWT) were truly reprehensible individuals; yet, Rebhorn was able to imbue them with enough pain and empathy that you felt for them in spite of their actions. Whenever we talk about the overall quality of acting on soaps these days, James Rebhorn is one performer who comes to mind immediately as I remember what USED to be the going standard. I am going to miss seeing him on TV shows and in movies.
March 25, 201412 yr Member Here's his obituary (which he had written himself), courtesy of We Love Soaps: http://www.welovesoaps.net/2014/03/james-rebhorn-obituary-his-life.html#more
March 25, 201412 yr Member I have no clue what the "thankless bit" was at the end of ATWT, but Rebhorn was one of the best examples of the genre. While some actor's success outside of daytime surprised me, his never did. He was the personification of evil, but not in the typical supervillainous way---in the ordinary, every day way that lurks in society.
March 25, 201412 yr Member He was Reid's uncle. Lily and Holden went to see him after Reid died and...I don't really remember the rest. I think he played chess and was homophobic.
