Yeah I'm just hoping it's John Ross cuz the other guy is absolute scum for what he did to her BC...and then he absolutely crossed the point if no return when he had her brother murdered.

Re Emma I liked her development and her reaction to Drews death....that being said her last scene with the cartel came off very random to me.

Sue Ellen is the last person on the show who should be handing out advice to Rebecca. Isn't this the same hot mess who was knee deep in bourbon and whiskey just a couple of episodes ago?

I wouldn't get TOO worried about the ratings. After all, this is TNT we are talking about. They really have no ratings grabber and they have an affection for the DALLAS franchise going back to their previous longtime showing of the original's repeats. They MIGHT get a fourth season, or at worst maybe a 2 hour wrap up movie.

Considering he was miscast it won't bother me a bit since he really isn't a Ewing by blood....although the character is a deep part of the show's history. I'd love to see Jenna Wade return with Lucas and have him be John Ross nemesis ...

I didn't see it yet, but apparently they gave JR a daughter? I'm sure it won't be his child with Cally, which is just what I expected from Cynthia Cidre, a retconned child when JR and Bobby both have kids out there. Why would they create a child when Lucas is there for Bobby and JR has a son and grandson with James plus a child with Cally? Lazy writing and why I can never get on board with this show. Every "exciting" twist they do is poorly thought out and executed.

Glad Christopher is dead though. That needed to happen for ages.

    • I'm good with the gushing, too. There aren't many soap icons like John Black, and that's important to celebrate and remember. And yes, life does go on for other characters, but as they say, timing is everything. Going sky diving the day before the funeral? And during a week of shows that were so powerful emotionally? No.
    • No. There might have been a slight pause for dramatic effect after his "death," but pretty soon after they showed him in France getting plastic surgery and getting involved with his doctor, then planning with her to bring Christina to France. (She thought he had good reason to do it; she wasn't a bad person or anything). Now that I think of it, there must have been some kind of pause before that, during the 70s, because when Rita was accused of killing a patient when she lived in Texas, part of the backstory was that Roger had been there, too. Not sure exactly when or how long that was.
    • Thank you. She’s disgusting.
    • I've already stated that I don't like Doug being written as this meek and submissive. It was so lame watching him leave her like that. Vanessa can divorce him, but she then needs to get her thot ass into therapy. She's not only having sex with every guy she runs into, but is now having  sex with a skeevy perv on a poker table. I'm going to give the BTG some credit here. For months, many on this board were delighting in the Vanessa/Joey flirting and what they saw as chemistry. I think we're now seeing what the writers always intended -- that Joey is a disgusting POS wannabe mobster.
    • John Black actually was the ultimate good guy soap hero. So I don’t mind the town gushing over him. It’s deserved.
    • Be glad it wasn't a Perry production.

    • The whole town gushing over John Black as if he was a saint is eye rolling.  I guess death really colors people's memories over his many flaws, but I guess that is normal and human nature. I'm still confused as to why Leo hasn't been written out.  The actor stank up two soaps with his sub par acting, what does he have on TPTB's to remain on these soaps.   What's the point of Cat?  I hope the new head-writers figure out her purpose and develop her character. And I much prefer scenes not focusing on John's death because life does go on for the world when someone passes.
