OLTL: Does Tea Delgado really die?

Someone on the ABC boards posted an article from SID saying that FL is out and the character of Tea Delgado will die. I thought I read spoilers that she lives.

Anyone know anything please? I think killing off Tea Delgado would be the worst thing ever.

Is this what you saw?

SID In and Outs

The real reason why Tea has to Die.

Yep, that's right, folks, OLTL's Tea is movin on, meaning FL is out. RC weighs in on the soaps controversial decision to kill the character off.

When a beloved character acquires cancer, viewers always anticipate a miraculous cure. However, that isn't the case for Tea, who succumbs to cancer this week. Although many consider it a shocking decision to kill off one of the soap's most popular heroines, RC reveals that ultimately it boiled down to presenting an unexpected plot twist that viewers won't forget. "It was a way to take the story to a new level. For a mother to have to say good bye and leave her child behind is probably one of the most heartbreaking things that someone can go through. We thought it would be a really emotional story and we could tell it from every angle" The plot twist also provided a forum in which Tea and Blair became frienemies, ending their ongoing feud. "It allowed us to really deepen the relationship" In addition, RC remarks that Tea's fatal diagnosis has also put another aspect of Todd's personality on display, because for once, his money and power weren't enough to save the love of his life. "To have Todd in a situation where he has to realize there's nothing he could do but be there for her shows real growth for the character". As for his own feelings about Tea, RC doesn't mince words. "I love Tea". However, he admits that the way in which the story was written really left no hope for her to survive. "While there have been successes with a lot of brain tumors, we really set it up as the kind of tumor that is not something you can really recover from". "We really did tie our hands in that way, but we really wanted to make it as serious and dire a diagnosis as you can have". At press time, a rep for OLTL wouldn't release FL's final air date.

I found this on Daytime Dish, so I doubt it's real. If she does die though, a poster on DD said a character would be returning from the dead this fall. I really don't take too much stock in what they say, but if these two are connected then it could be true. But I don't know.

Yup thats it. I really hope its not true. Thanks for ur help.

And, even if that article is legit, remember that TPTB at ABC and OLTL are great at twisting things around. Remember how they made it look like TSJ was leaving the role of Todd during the execution stuff?

I read (either on DC or on one of their twitters) that she was suppose to die(this was when they were firing people for budget reasons), but because of the backlash they got over Kish Valentini didn't want to risk anymore backlash and now Tea is going to live.

How nice. They keep the shrieking enabler of rapists and wife-beaters, but they don't keep Kish or Rachel or Sky.

If she stays it's likely more about Todd than about herself.

I think Eli will just be faking Tea's death... the drugs she's been taking will just slip her into a harmless coma, and after the stuff with Eli ends it will be revealed that he was blackmailing Greg and that Greg reveals she's alive.

The reason Eli wants Tea out of the picture is probably so that Ross can get custody of Danielle (almost positive that was in the switched will that Eli pulled on Tea). But- if they get RH back, and twist the story, they could TOTALLY get away with having Eli working for the REAL Todd (RH), while he's "recovering" from whatever kept him away this long. If done right- it could work. But we'll see.

I still haven't figured out why Eli killed Melinda. Unless I missed something.
